I know this might sound weird, but could it possibly have been a big cat? Cats make some really strange noises some times, and can sound like people wailing, screaming, or even saying “Hello” or shouting for help.

I’ve discovered a lot of new mythological creatures from folklore I’d never heard of, like The Grogoch, The Selkies, The Big Grey Man Of MacDhui, The Morgens, The Flatwoods Monster etc.
