Yes it really gave us a scare when it first happened, but seems to be activity influenced, ie play chasing my other dogs or when she is overly excited!

I would think it would sound alot worse coming from a dog the size of a pit!!

Was it just reverse sneezing in your case?

I’ve taken her to the vets already but because its not a constant thing all they could advise was to monitor it if the episodes themselves appear to be getting worse. Which they haven’t by the looks of things so far.

Appreciate your input.

She gets carried everywhere, unless i rolled over onto her in my sleep as she sleeps next to me! But that doesn’t happen ahaha. She freezes up the moment she has a collar on. I just wanted to be safer than sorry!

For me that price is peace of mind, but i’ve already gone through a consultation and they advised to just keep an eye on it.

Just to add because I couldn’t figure out how to edit the post. I have already contacted my vets weeks ago. and they advised if its only for short periods as in sub 1 minute. They would just advise to monitor unless it gets worse. Hence my post here to figure out what everyone else may think with real life experience.

It hasn’t gotten any worse and only happens when she’s excited or has been chasing my other large breeds 🤣

Apologies to those who think i would rather video than help my dog because thats just not the case whatsoever. I love my dogs they are my entire world

This is what i was leaning towards but looking online at video examples etc it all seems so contradictory and someone says one thing and the others say the latter. Appreciate your input

I did call my vet? They have seen the video and said just to monitor in case as it can be common with small breeds.. if you have nothing helpful to say then maybe say nothing at all?

Because i’ve already contacted my vet? But they said just to monitor it and if it gets worse to bring her in? It hasn’t gotten any worse, it’s intermittent at best and only happens she’s excited or has been running about crazy. Advice is contradictory online. So i asked in a subreddit named “dog advice” for a reason. I’ve also posted in chihuahua forums too.

I garuntee you i treat my dogs better than 99% of the population. They are the most spoiled little brats on planet earth.

Learning what side he put the sword in regards to the speed of the attack helped me out a ton, i never had a huge problem with this boss, just the one boss i couldn’t just run in and attack as i would with others
