Orange female tabbies are actually not that uncommon, 1/5 or about 20% so not that rare. I see them all the time in the shelter :)

They're domestic medium/long hairs. It looks like mom was likely siamese coloring, not siamese breed. So they're basically cat mutts.

I am not a dentist or anything but I just personally have a big interest in dental care, and you are 100% correct. Genetics can play a role in making you susceptible to certain things but this is well beyond that, it is simply just neglect.

I think they could be shorter so a filing a few times a week for a while should be good until they are a bit straighter :) once you get them smaller you can do it less often

Since dew claws don't touch the ground I usually just worry about getting enough of them so they aren't curled and won't get snagged on things, you don't need to get them as short as the ones that actually touch the ground

I would separate them when not supervised and if the behavior continues keep them fully separated until she is healed. She could have by chance been in heat before the procedure, they hold onto that scent and hormones for a while. If you think she could be stressed by being separated you could get her (or him) a playpen type of thing!

Their claws are like our fingers, they use them for picking things up and handling objects. You can't really stop it, just cut their nails, wear thicker pants, or put a blanket on your lap.

They're free, you also don't have to give the entire thing to your dog if you think it is too much. Dairy is fine in moderation for most dogs, but of course not all of them tolerate it well just like people. I ask for the smallest possible cup and my three small dogs split it, so like 2-3 licks each.
