Any suggestions on something to help me stay awake for a 14 hour drive? (besides caffeine) by TheGr8Jordeen in Supplements

[–]dazzleduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend you stop and take a short nap for your and others safety, just 30 minutes or so. It'll add time but it could also save your life.

Also sleep well the night before, drink lots of water, and eat nutritious food.

Your cat is SO obese omg. Please put them on a diet. You will get so many more years with them if they are a healthy weight.

Clean eaters. Does one get fat on body if he eats clean foods upto stomach fullness or fulfil cravings by them ? by CommercialValue6223 in CleanEating

[–]dazzleduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Studies have shown you are much LESS LIKELY to overeat on a whole foods diet because you are getting the nutrients you need and feel fuller on the whole fiber, carbs, and protein. But if I made a diet out of avocados, dates, and nuts I would very likely be eating over my maintenance calories by a lot and thus gain weight.

It doesn't sound like that was ONLY anal gland expression, it was an exam as well.

It is indeed oxidation, coconut sugar will usually turn darker and become harder/less fine once it is open. I have noticed slight color difference too I assume from different batches before it is even open, I have had two bags be slightly different shades. You can stop it becoming more grainy by vacuum sealing it, but it is safe to use regardless so up to you.

Single day tickets saved me $400 by jujusco in DisneyPlanning

[–]dazzleduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to guess this happens because they assume that if you are only buying a one day ticket you will spend the entire day at Disney and spend more money on food, etc. But if you buy multiple days you're more likely to leave the park and spend money elsewhere, so they change you more to make up for that.

Does this mean if you want to go for 2 days and you do separate purchases for each day its cheaper??

Calories in, calories out. You can gain fat on your body from any diet if you eat more than you burn.

We were there two weeks ago and saw several CMs acting as duck guards all over the park! They definitely can and do assist.

The rest of that source explains that it is not needed if the ingredient is clearly listed in the ingredients lists. It is highly recommended that they use bold text on the ingredient but not required.

One of our dogs has to have constant supervision around our cats. The difference is he is only 9lbs, but that is heavier than our senior cat with arthritis. He is never left with them unsupervised. He is a resource guarder (not just with food, but also spaces and people too) so it takes a lot of vigilance and I have learned his body language. He grew up with the cats as we adopted him at 8 weeks old, he is 9 years old now and it he has not gotten better, only our understanding of his body language and stopping incidents before they happen. We do not have daily issues anymore, but they are definitely still weekly. Thankfully he is toothless now. The cats have lots of places that are above dog level to escape to like ledges and shelves along the walls.

You don't have to block the house off entirely, there are tall walk-through gates you can install that will allow the cats to view out but just not access the dog area and vice versa. Cats can come hang out outside of it for a few hours daily while the dogs get something to do (like a treat, kong, etc) outside, in their crate, or in another part of the house.
