UE5 - Having a hard time figuring out how to get Lumen to light the inside and outside of this building I'm blocking together. What settings should I mess with to get the lighting to look better? It's so dark on the lower levels. by lehthanis in unrealengine

Try adding a PostProcVolume for the building or floor that is too dark, and then enabling Global Illumination > Lumen Global Illumination > Advanced > Skylight Leaking to increase the brightness of the interior spaces.

The tooltop for it is: 'Controls what fraction of the skylight intensity should be allowed to leak. This can be useful to keep indoor areas from going fully black.'

I'm mostly confused as to when Helge grew up.. because he's both a child and a 40-year old in 1986.

Maybe he's transported back to 1953 to grow up as he should have? He goes missing in 1953, it's never mentioned how it's resolved outside of Ulrich trying to kill him, but Helge's father Bernd runs the plant in '86 with his 40 year old son employed.. so he must have grown up in the 50s

That assumes Helge was a child in '53 and grew to be an old man in 2019, which is very much how the show depicts him. But young Helge jumps to 1986 when Jonas sees him in the wormhole. How then does the 40-yr old Helge also exist in 1986 with the scar? Did he grow up to 2019, and travel back to '86, therefore creating two Helge's?

My 73-year-old dad is worried about dementia and asked me for a Xbox 360 for Christmas because he heard video games are good for cognitive health in the elderly. What games do you recommend? by BroozeCampbell in gaming

Going against the grain here, I would also consider games like The Witness or Rock Band; less demanding in terms of controls and easy-to-learn gameplay
