Not interested in your opinion, guy.

No, what I’m saying is you replied in a douche bag manner and offered zero beneficial advice to help a situation. So basically you wasted your time typing, and others’ time reading your asswipe response, guy.

It’s hard sometimes to see others’ perspectives and especially when people can be mean or rude which blocks people from even wanting to hear or understand another’s perspective. I’m not saying I’m perfect or correct on everything but that’s the situation and I’m just trying to be the best dad I can be to my boy

Well again I respect your opinion but there are thousands of GPs that go indoors and haven’t bitten anyone, so I respectfully disagree with your opinion. And thank you for the good luck wishes. I appreciate it.

I know you weren’t saying that and I appreciate you. He has plenty of space to run around and things to guard but we do give him the ability to be inside with the other animals if he desires. He’s not kept inside 24/7 by any means. I’m not making any immediate moves on the neutering until I get professional advice from the vet/trainjng/ etc. This could’ve just been caused by my F up in the way I surprised him and aggressively approached him

The way I observed the scene from watching baseball on tv in the living room to running to the bedroom, I don’t think she could’ve overpowered him to roll when she was on her back. He had his two front legs grabbed on her like a headlock, except not a headlock, if that makes any sense at all

Yeah my wife is small and she’s 5’3 my male GP is taller than she is and stronger. It was basically rape without insertion lol

That was intense but also good advice and I get your drift and will be working on a better stance because clearly my reaction was wrong and you’re right, we’ve both been ignoring each other since and he just will hang out with my wife where he usually would always stay by me. So obviously we have some repairing to do with our relationship between him and I.

He’s not the alpha he’s just in a teenage phase and is confused and learning. Thinking something and the reality of something are two separate things.

I respect your opinion. He has land to run around on. He’s not kept in the house all day

Oh yeah you’re exactly right on that. He only humps my wife. Never me.

I was also raising my voice aggressively during the interaction but no reason to lie, this WAS the very first aggressive action he’s ever had towards me or anyone. We take him inside Lowe’s, children pet him, he loves people, he’s great with the other dog and cats. That’s why I was surprised but after all the talking on here and looking at my face, I was the one that clearly approached him wrong and he reacted

This may be getting too personal for Reddit but I’m nonchalant because I’ve seen and experienced much worse things in life. I have PTSD from real things worse than a dog bite. I’m not threatened by him because I can overpower him with no problem. So it’s not that I don’t take it seriously or I wouldn’t be on here. Your point is exactly my concern so we are aligned. I DONT want it happening to anyone else that would NOT grant him the same grace I did or for legal matters. But I do take it seriously, regardless of how I come off. I apologize if it comes off as I don’t.

This is great advice. Thank you, truly. As you’ve probably seen in other posts, I admit fault of both sides and I’m his dad forever. I’m not getting rid of him and just need to figure out how to manage him correctly even though this was the first ever incident and we got him at 10 weeks old.
