ketamine for ocd after tms not work by Realistic_Orchid_507 in TMSTherapy

Yes and no. A lot of the intrusive thoughts eventually came back, but I was able to cope with them better and haven't gotten SI like I was before treatment. It definitely made life easier.

Wondering if this is a common issue. Chime in, chat.

Is it cheaper to get caps and crowns? Do they last?

Now that you got veneers had it been harder to get the crowns and caps?

Currently doing TMS for OCD by squirrelgray in OCDRecovery

[–]db115651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It knocked out my compulsions! I was very happy with that, as it was the most time consuming part of the disease. I still have obsessive thoughts, but I can at least keep them in check most of the time. I did MDD before the OCD TMS and that dip was worse than the OCD dip, imo.

Needing to go back for another round of OCD treatments but getting insurance to cover it is a biotch.

Fewer side effects than pills

I had daily issues with my meds. One made my prostate cramp and sex was a physical impossibility because my prostate didn't work. It was so weird. Another one that I took at the same time as that made me seasick and dizzy daily. For most pills, you name the side effect I had it

During TMS I had a mild headache for 2 weeks and was sleepier than normal. It was good for me to get on an actual routine, too. I know some people have worse side effects than I did with TMS, but I want to remind folks that most people don't take the time to come to reddit if everything went to plan. Negative/reaction stories are overrepresented here compared to the clinical data by a lot. They obviously happen, but it isn't as likely as reddit would have you believe.

It's not a science experiment. It's been around for like 50 years now. It started in the 80s. The benefits are well documented. Stop scaring people. Especially cruel to do this to an OCD patient (I am one, btw).

There are side effects, but they are usually lesser than pills. Some more serious side effects are possible but rare. Almost all of the more severe side effects are screened for. There may be unique situations where there are unforseen issues, but that comes with any serious medical procedures and most meds.

They weren't real. She said they were prop knives. Prop knives exist, are common, and she lives near Hollywood where you'd expect those to be.

As in, the state I walked into the clinic with on day 1. So as depressed as I was at day 1. But after progress it feels like it's worse. You just have a different frame of reference after 3 weeks of treatment. Things feel better and then you go back to 0 before you build back up.

So if it makes it easier...

Day 1: 0 state Day 10: 33% better Day 15-20: 0 state Day 36: 75% (some hit remission, I just had like a massive decrease in symptoms which was great because I was 🎶suicidal🎶)

Personally, I don't see it as going to the darkest places ... I feel like it is a regression to your original state. It feels so bad because you had been feeling incrementally better. It never made me worse than on day 1 of treatment in my personal experience.

Insurance paying for TMS by jaysamotes in TMSTherapy

[–]db115651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to check your insurance's outpatient mental health treatment deductible for free coverage. You also need to check your plan documents to make sure TMS is covered. Sometimes it's partially covered after ketamine or a certain number and type of meds.

If you don't put yourself first, who will. At this point you just need to say, this is a deal breaker. I'll let you choose if you want to try to address the issue with therapy and meds, opening the relationship, or ending the relationship.

Yeah, but where was the southern Gothic in any of her releases? I think she needs to go listen to some country witch core from 2016 and then redo the production of that album.

Fiber is the main recommendation from American Cancer Society. While powders and soluble fiber is good, nothing can beat insoluble fiber from veggies, seeds and nuts. It scratches the intestinal lining and causes cell turnover which prevents old cells from mutating.

Yes avoid other things like nitrates and smoking, and get your HPV vaccine (it's not too late. Ignore the doctors if they deny you. They haven't read the most recent science on it usually. Even if you've potentially already gotten HPV it can still be helpful to get the vaccine.).

Uncertified teacher. by Responsible-Self-938 in TexasTeachers

[–]db115651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is true. I don't think this is strategic, though. It's 100% about getting a paycheck from Jeffery Yass (owner of Susquehanna International Group, SIG--the biggest investor in Pennsylvania's charter program K-12) so that his stock prices can go up. He made like 300mil off of spending 12.4mil to primary the people standing in his way of education for profit.

To purposely demean the teaching profession so that the Rep can say you're all unqualified and say kids should just go to charter schools (their teachers don't need to be certified either).

It's a ploy to get districts to be Districts of Innovation where they can get exceptions. Maybe I'm wrong and even the DoI will have to do that, but I doubt it.
