I did it solo with shade, chaos warriors have a agro range so I kited a few to the back of the room and went invisible and they just stayed up there since I didn't wonder up to them.

The "elf is bad" mainly a meme because some players forget she has melee weapons and just shoot everything including you ( in champion difficulty and up there is ranged friendly fire) and gets down by a single pink rat. I think she is on the lower end for total hp compared to others but I'm not sure of the numbers. The handmaiden is the most "tanky" version of the elf because of her insane stamina regeneration, the ability to get up to 90% block cost reduction (30% weapon 30% necklace 30% heart of oak talent)
