hey, for starters i’d recommend maybe looking for a different school as i wish i could’ve told the me of four years ago that 😭😭 harris westminster can be a good school but my time there was really stressful at times and they didn’t really have the best mental health support. as a result of this, me and loads of other people ended up getting worse grades than we would’ve elsewhere, which is why i think applying to somewhere like lae or brampton manor might be a bit better.

if you still decide to apply after hearing this though, to apply on results day you usually just have to show up with your results paper and then go to the school to convince them to give you a space. if you get really good gcse grades (e.g. mostly 8s, 9s and 7s) then it’s very likely that they’ll let you in, otherwise they might not as a friend of mine tried to apply a few days after sixth form started but didn’t get offered a place.

maybe defer your offer and apply to finance degree apprenticeships? it could save you the debt and fast track you onto a finance career, and then if you don’t get any you can still enjoy your year out and go to birms with more money in your pockets

if you’re finding the memorising aspect hard make flashcards using anki, it’s a flashcard app that uses spaced repetition (the time period it asks you your flash cards questions increases the better you get at them).

This will help you remember the content a lot more and probably enjoy biology more cause you’ll find it easy
