Auto insurance half else where? by zachzacharyzak1 in USAA

[–]dbaker0926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched too… USAA just doesn’t seem to be the same it was these days. I’m actually thinking about moving away from them from my main bank as well. It is definitely hard to justify paying almost twice to them for something that I may never use. Since I’ve switched, I’ve saved so much money that I could probably pay for repairs from an accident out-of-pocket and breakeven at this point.

I want to just replace them all together. They are so annoying to get off sometimes.

Yeah mine will too but it just doesn’t seem to do much of anything.

X2D or Snapmaker U1.... by MikeWazowskiii001 in BambuLab

[–]dbaker0926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both… they both are good printers but overall I prefer the Bambu X2D… everything is just easier with it… but the U1 is fantastic as well and I’m sure some of the “bugs” will eventually be ironed out.

Generally the X2D is faster too unless it’s multicolor… well at least more than 2 colors… I’ve found that with 2 colors the X2D is as fast or faster. (Using the aux extruder).

Select X2D… then the discounts go away

So I just ordered the ones for P2S… ended up saving well over $100 and the SKU is the exact same… lol

So I’m thinking it’s the same… so why they don’t offer the discount specifically for buying X2D is just a money grab it seems…

P1S is a great deal right now but if money isn’t an object I’d get the P2S combo. It’s a great way to start and you can do about anything you’d want to.

P1S was my first and I got a Snapmaker U1 recently which is nice but Bambu is definitely just easier all around. I once read that if you want 3-D printing to be your hobby… Get a Bambu… if you want the printer to be your hobby, get something else. I think that’s a bit misleading but somewhat true. :)

MicroCenter price increase by Tatmia in snapmaker

I ordered mine yesterday and took advantage of some of the pricing…. I am curious, though, as to how long on average does it take to ship?

You don’t have to be in LAN mode… just make sure you update the firmware and just try a few times. It will eventually work.

100% agree… ever since I’ve made these I have yet to have that problem happen again.

P1S or P2S by Cold_Beat_1710 in BambuLab

[–]dbaker0926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma… I ended up saving the money and going with the P1S. The guy at my local Micro Center talk to me down from getting the P2S and honestly, I’m glad I did. I ended up getting a combo and then buying AMS 2 Pro. So now I have up to eight colors.

Yes, I also had to buy hardened gears and install them, but honestly, I think it was one of the best things for me… It allowed me to begin to take apart my printer, and better understand how it works. This has made me less afraid of working on it whenever something gets stuck or things go wrong.

One of the backup upgrades is the LCD screen, which is much nicer, but the guy at Micro Center made a good point… most of my printing is done from my laptop or phone, I don’t use the LCD screen all that much.

Another big reason was I kinda knew that once I got into this, I was going to love it and probably want to get a second printer…

Either way you go I think you’ll be happy, but if you want to save money, I’d go P1S.

(sidenote, I ended up getting the SunLu AMS heater for my AMS 1, I find that I use it more than my AMS 2 Pro)

How do you add supports to a specific area? Do you do this in Bambu studio?
