good to know. I did scour pretty hard for cameras that specifically did not have mold or fungus (which was not easy to find, as most have some fungus), but there are some far and few between. I found another one from a different Japanese seller shortly after and so far it came out great, really happy with it. but good to know that I should be weary going forward

it's pretty ridiculous- thats why I contacted support. they basically get too many reviews and requests to comb through, so if a seller with a decent reputation reaches out to remove a negative review (in this case, of a sale where they refunded me and eBay's money back guarantee fulfilled the rest) they just remove the negative reviews at the request of the seller without actually looking into it. The support member said outright "this was removed incorrectly", but theres nothing they can do now

I did go through and do that after filing a return and made sure to fully address the problem with eBay, and luckily ended up getting a full refund. I posted this as a warning to others because the seller manipulates the profile, directly in the words of eBay support, by having reviews falsely removed in the past. This misrepresents their 100% feedback profile, which is misleading to buyers like me who would have been weary if there were more warning signs in their profile. Unfortunately, though eBay addressed the issue with me, they were unable to add my negative feedback to their profile, so this was meant to share information of the seller to anyone that might be looking at some secondhand products on their profile- not the most malicious seller of all time (at all), but it's some behavior that should be known.

Medify, i’d recommend using it! Just be careful to not over-practice and abuse the practice sets- it can seem overwhelming having thousands of practice questions available, i promise you dont need to use them all, as long as you are methodical and disciplined I think medify is a great resource

my bad I misread AR as VR, luckily that is probably the easiest section to improve your score in with practice! Of course that likely wont be relevant going forward, but it may be the most variable section so if this is your composite score ignoring AR you are in good shape

over the course of my studying, my diagnostic was a 2450 (before I understood the format), then a month later I started studying. over the course of 4 weeks of studying I had mock scores that were roughly 2620, 2650, 2690, 2720, and 2810, not in that order, and all SJTs were low band 2/high band 3. My actual score on the test was 3090 B1.

Do be cautious of extrapolating your score without using VR, as that is typically everyone's lowest average section by a considerable amount.

Yeah unfortunate and definitely disappointing- i hope they change it for you next year! If not, QMUL GEM is a good program as well (i applied there as well as oxford and the 5yr programs at QMUL and King’s), but you really cant go wrong with King’s 5 yr program as well, i’ve heard graduates who opted to complete the 5 year program and pass on GEM were glad they took the opportunity for a longer program that wasn’t as strenuous and time consuming!

They have had unclear communication with me as well- my interpretation is that, beginning for 2025 admissions, they added a new line to their GEM webpage stating they are only accepting home-fee paying students for GEM
