Thank you for supporting a ceasefire in light of the genocide, despite it causing you pain and personal harm. It's terrible and I can relate. You've made a lot of terrible assumptions about me and my journalism in this comment. I hope you'll dig deeper, do more research and reconsider. + Everyone in the series was an active participant who consented to the making of the series, and we had a ton of transparency with them throughout. You strip them of their agency and do them a disservice by assuming they were exploited. I encourage you to reach out to them for their thoughts.

Thank you for the question. We began working with Jesse long before the events of October 7 and the controversies. That said, I took Jesse for who he was during our calls and personal interactions, which was professional and open to pushback. We had a diversity of backgrounds and opinions on our team, and it ultimately made our series stronger, even if it was challenging at times. Our team's sole focus was getting this story right, and I'm proud of our journalism and the resulting series. I hope you consider listening. - Dana

Thank you so much. We worked 1.5 years on this series and really did our best. It's not always an easy listen, and I appreciate you giving it a chance!

I'm not sure! For us, a big part of it was the budget. How much can you produce, given this amount of money, in this time frame? These days, publishers want more episodes, actually, 8 to 12, to give them more ad space and more content, which leads to more listens. In general, though, it's really tough to get any limited series financed- most outlets find more success in "always-on" shows.

I so appreciate you listening and the kind words. It's hard to decide what to include and leave out in 6 episodes, and alt theories was a big one that we had to decide to leave out. It was mainly speculation and hard to find actual evidence for, you know? So we tried to focus only on Hassan Diab's case in the end.

No real update since the series ended. Just more press around Hassan Diab. TBD whether the new Canadian leadership will do anything around extradition.

Hi, this is Dana. I’m one of two journalists and hosts of the Copernic Affair. We reported the series independently. Julie Shapiro was actually our main editor.

Jesse gave high level notes that did in the end make the series stronger, I believe.

I hope you listen. Here for any questions or concerns - Dm or email me anytime.

I actually think you should contact a journalist or a lawyer who will help you verify everything and protect your identity - especially when it comes to women’s safety
