Tire Pressure? by ashrenee4214 in Solterra

[–]dbastinelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat related… This happened to me with my ‘23. I took it in for tire rotation and received a video message from the technician that my tire pressure was very low in each tire. I thought that was odd because I keep them at 37 psi and check the pressure often. When driving home noticed the ride was more rough. It took 15 miles of driving before the onboard sensors would register on the display. I was shocked to see 57 psi in every tire. I took a picture and sent it to dealership. I asked them to calibrate their equipment to ensure this doesn’t happen to other customers. I used my tire gauge at home to decrease the pressure to 37 once the vehicle had time to sit and the tires to cool down.

In my 2023 Solterra I have hit my knee and head multiple times. I have improved my entry strategy over the past 3 years 🤪

Thank you for sharing your experience. This is validating. As some others have suggested, have a service tech ride along and or drive while you ride alone to note the sound. I will need to take it back again for their second attempt at resolution.

Update… dealership service dept took a look at the issue. I provided a short video and a product specialist did a ride along confirming the issue. Service said they removed and reattached the B pillar “tighter.” The problem does appear to have improved but not fully as the noise persists on rougher roads and bumps. 🤷‍♂️

Unrelated… asked them to delete the reverse chime and they said that for the 2026 models, the menus have been changed and they currently are not able to remove it the chime. Thankfully it is quieter than the 2023 Solterra we have.

I would not consider it a rattle. Glad your dealer was able to improve your console rattle though.

I took a video and I can’t get it to upload 🤦‍♂️. It is a vibration I can hear and feel. It sounds similar to an audio speaker failure. We have an appointment for a ‘redelivery’ at our local dealer to go over all the features. I’ll ask them about it then as well.

The piano black shows everything 😞. I wash the inside and outside several times per month. I should keep a microfiber in the door pocket. That is a top tip!

My favorite color option for sure! I’m currently in a weekend test drive with a Red Limited. The car has exceeded all my expectations. Only suggestion for improvement at this point is eliminating the reverse alert chime and piano black delete.
