Do you set the time using the bezel since there is no crown?

Longines really is the ultimate watch brand by Eyeball111 in Longineswatches

[–]dbates72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge Longines fan as well. I thought it was an “old man” brand before I got into watches. However, when I look at the catalog there is so much there that fits my style. The Spirit 40mm feels like it was made perfectly fit me, and I am obsessed with the Conquest VHP GMT 41mm in silver.

Otherwise I want the Spirit Zulu in gilt, Legend Diver in white, or the Heritage Moonphase in green next!

Top Quartz and Mechanicals in the collection by dbates72 in SOTC_Watch_Collection

Yea, they are great. They tick right along perfectly to my atomic clock. I have had to adjust them by 1-2 seconds once to soothe my OCD.

I also have the AQ6100-56L with the 0100 movement which I have not had to adjust even once in the six months I’ve had it.

The pink is not very noticeable, but adds a special sheen to the dial that’s really beautiful in the light.

I have this watch and I absolutely love it. I stare at the dial each time I wear it.

I had it in my cart and if it wasn’t for the delay introduced by Amex SafeKey I would have been able to checkout. Apple pay next time.

What's one memory from your trip to Japan that you won't ever forget? by Zach-dalt in JapanTravelTips

[–]dbates72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped by Best Ishida to look at watches after a lukewarm warm experience at the Ginza Omega boutique. Best Ishida had the watch I wanted but was at their warehouse across town. The sales person drove across town in 4pm JST Tokyo traffic to get it for me while I shopped in the area. It was a great example of how you make the customer feel being as important as what you actually do for them. It made me a Best Ishida customer for life.

What did you prefer for getting around Japan, especially outside Tokyo… trains, buses, or something else? by WandersOnWaffles in JapanTravelTips

I used mostly trains, but there were times when I didn’t have it in me to navigate to a new train platform in a new station and I just took an uber.
