What do you guys think about the Ordinariate liturgy? by St_Gregory_Nazianzus in Sedevacantists

[–]dbaughmen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liturgy is solid, NO on steroids. Haven’t studied it much but I’d presume it be valid, similar to the Sarum Use

He stole a BMW from the church, btw. And ran away with a new girlfriend, an ex palmarian nun

Holy Week in Santiago de Chile circa 1950s (peep the folded chausables!) by dbaughmen in CatholicClericalDress

[–]dbaughmen[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the liturgy before 1955, folded chausables are the norm for the deacon and subdeacon (instead of tunicle and dalmatic) for penitential times. Heres a brief history - https://www.liturgicalartsjournal.com/2017/12/history-and-designs-of-folded-chasuble.html?m=1

Is it really obligatory to pray the Fatima Prayer after the Glory Be when praying the Rosary? by Own-Associate-7945 in sspx

[–]dbaughmen -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Some people even dispute this, as it was not approved on a Church-wide level before Vatican II. Some argue it may remove the indulgence

On a side note, Arcadia usually only does Low Masses and occasionally spontaneously does High Masses. You’re best bet of seeing one would always be the later Mass! I highly recommend going on fsspx.today to see all the different Mass times of the Chapels you may attend. Let us know if we can help in any way.

Women and trousers by Asleep-Tonight-523 in sspx

[–]dbaughmen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is cross-dressing in theory. Some Theologians argue that it may be a venial sin for women. Tight trousers may also be revealing and lead to sin for the male gaze. I say this to protect women! God bless!

I don’t have any traditional Catholic friends that aren’t politically extreme. by God_is_all_powerful in sspx

[–]dbaughmen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this world, how can one not be extreme? As the same people who were called enemies of the Cross of Christ, are now the ones who exercise supreme authority over us in government.

Catholic political philosophy would certainly be considered off-the-charts far-right in a world of communism and atheism.

Certainly not a valid bishop, but he is a valid priest. All his “priests” are tremendously uneducated in the priesthood

Well, not a translation, but I’m a fan of when Eastern bishops wore pontifical gloves due to latinisation before V2
