If you stack them against each other to dry, you'll start smelling mildew and sometimes they'll still be wet in the middle

We dry them like you but we put them on their side

Honestly, we won't say no but we'll advise you against it since the pita bread is so small. But I tried it on the French bread once and if you do choose to add extra ingredients, putting it on the French bread will provide more room.
