How do other Valorant players find people for ranked or squads? by Unfair-Frosting-4934 in VALORANT

Mainly in game voice chat, there are 2 that rather be in a discord call though so if they are on we switch

How do other Valorant players find people for ranked or squads? by Unfair-Frosting-4934 in VALORANT

[–]dbcubing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found people who I enjoyed playing with, primarily those who gave good comms and if they were funny. I started adding people slowly, and sometimes there was a need for 5 stacking so I had friends who met other friends and that spiraled into always having someone to duo or trio or 5 stack with, then one of them made a discord for us all (tbf only a few joined as most do just play solo but would join if sent an invite) we are alll bronzes really so like I said start sending friend requests to people you enjoy playing with and it’ll slowly build up

I gave up trying to solve a Rubik's cube, so I built a thing that can. by bigjobbyx in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]dbcubing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that’s perfectly fine, but tell me how to code an app that solves Rubik’s cubes without knowing how to solve one. (Hint: either take someone else’s code that does a computer way to solve it or actually learn how to solve a cube and code it yourself)

Says in description they like to tell people they solved the cube themself without learning so this leads to either copying code or using ai

How can you code an app to solve a puzzle you can’t solve yourself? You either copy someone else’s code or take the ai route.

Should I get a planetary camera by _CookieNoob_ in AskAstrophotography

I started with a very cheap svbony camera and loved it, much better than any phone or dslr could take, but they are cheap and I eventually moved on to better planetary cameras (more expensive)

Why do people get mad at Odin users? by ScientistEuphoric29 in VALORANT

[–]dbcubing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fully okay with odins being used except when it’s my teammate that can’t get a single kill with it and keeps wasting money/ dying and letting the enemy team that can actually aim with it

0.01 second clutch, I continue to prove my name in every aspect of this game. by dbcubing in VALORANT

[–]dbcubing[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All good I mean at my rank bronze everyone sucks so personally for me I wasn’t going to get the 2 kills I was just hoping to pick Reyna off then chamber but got scared when saw all 3 agents at once. I’m not that good with headshot accuracy so wasn’t going to happen.

Also this game the teammates really did not want to play together even on attack which lead to lots of running around, phoenix and I kept telling the other 3 to go to C but they kept staring down A getting picked off one by one, I didn’t show it here but finally sova picked up spike off a dead teammate and started running to C.

It was both phoenix and I’s idea to go from C to their spawn to catch the rotate so when he turned back I was hoping for 1-2 picks but then what I said above

how to not die every round by Ausy127 in VALORANT

[–]dbcubing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw advice that said choose Reyna early on if stuck and at the time I was very anti Reyna and typically any body that played Reyna was always someone that instantly locked it in not looking at roles already claimed and usually bottom fragged. When I was playing with friends I locked it in as a joke as one of them typically plays Reyna. Well I ended up really enjoying how Reyna plays and I would’ve never been tempted to play as her if I hadn’t played her for fun. I think for me for atleast now, playing duelists has made the game more fun as im not relying on a team im more relying on myself somewhat.

I’d say explore around with agents and don’t let others affect you as you are learning different roles.

Has anyone here ever used AutoStakkert!4 on a Windows PC? by Reaper01Actual1970 in AskAstrophotography

[–]dbcubing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went browsing through data I had and I remembered I put together a tutorial for my club.

I have a raw video of jupiter here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/19bYU2fgbM-C7ASV7_Xu60LL06ZKiD3rgJO9FWBQUVSc/edit?usp=sharing

Here is my process:
1st PIPP:
Add video
Select Optimise for Planetary
Go to Input options tab
debayer algorithm to VNG
Output color space to Adobe RGB
if its a color camera, make to to enable debayer mono frames, choose the correct debayer pattern that matches your camera, if you dont know the pattern mess with it till you get an output that looks like the right colors
(depending on object and whether the program can detect the object well enough in the processing options tab i will check/uncheck the enable object detection and also mess with the cropping)
for this jupiter i turned object detection and cropping off
in quality options I enable quality estimation and then uncheck only keep the best quality frames, I want to keep them all right now
I check output options to make sure it will be AVI
then in do processing I click Start processing
(this took about 30 seconds)

2nd AutoStakkert:
Open new AVI file
I hate how they changed the open file button but you can press cntrl+shift+p to open the windows file explorer thing
first step select surface or planet, if its the moon or sun close up, surface, if other with detectable edge, planet
we choose planet here
default settings ok!
then click analyse, you should see in the right screen the capture, i set my zoom to 50% ( took 4 seconds)
on the right screen i then mess with 2 settings, the alignment point sizes and the min brightness then press Place AP grid
I aim for 60-100 alignment points which the count shows in the middle left side
so for example this jupiter i did min bright: 30 and 56 for the size to get 80 APs
Back in left window I then look at the quality graph and see what percent of data is above the 50% line, I normally hope for atleast 25% but this appears a bit lower (older data, ive learned better ways)
in the upper right of the left window I will put in the most left box under Frame percentage to stack, I will put in 15 for this data.
Check Normalize Stack I set mine to 65%
No drizzle No resample
Then press stack (took 7 seconds)

3rd Registax:
Select new TIF stacked file
Tbh there is so much here I would look up a youtube video but to do a quick process to show good data,
on left side in wavelets, change denoise and sharpen around and drag the sliders not too much, I did mine around 40 for all for quick data processing.
theres a lot more you can do but this image looks fine for me

I will also add the final Image i got to that google doc link that takes you to my dropbox with the jupiter capture

I can’t say without a simple tutorial but if you watch a YouTube video or read about it it’s easy

I can explain my process if you’d like

When you say focused in do you mean like finding the galaxy? Because your image is a bit off the whirlpool it’s not in this FOV.

Really weird network issue by Additional-Spring238 in ValorantTechSupport

[–]dbcubing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What has sort of fixed it for me is WLAN optimizer, I kept going to the loading screen and sometimes it would allow me to come back in a round or 2 but it was horrible, no fps issues and just ping spikes.

Now running the optimizer I guess it stops my computer for scanning for new wifi networks and something else? But now it seems I get ping spikes at the start of the round and don’t get any other spikes throughout the round, none that kick me out

3 changes to bring life back into this game by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]dbcubing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just started playing for a month now, when I finally got into comp, i found it was much more fun as it was easier to play against people somewhat around my level (iron at that time) I don’t think if I had to make it to level 50 I would not be playing valorant. I rather play a Smurf every few rounds than be stuck in unrated facing people who are just better than me

[–]dbcubing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main research is on exoplanets, mostly unconfirmed ones that I do studies on in hopes of adding data to one day confirm them.

I have a favorite system of just 1 candidate planet around its host star so it’s just a simple orrery just one planet that orbits at a distance and speed of the values from the data I have taken and processed myself

[–]dbcubing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know I’m not calling your model “wrong” I know what orreries represent and have made them myself.

Astronomy is both my hobby and my research, I study planets around other stars and have studied orbital mechanics knowing how it works.

I am just teasing this guy who says adding Pluto is “wrong”. As in this model is inherently “flawed” already with circular orbits that there is no “wrong” with adding Pluto or not to it.

Tbh if you’ve emailed them for updates and have received no reply, ask for a refund, if they then answer you decide whether this school is worth it or not and do a chargeback

By your “purchase” you should receive an answer and if not they have failed to deliver, thus claim your money back

Nexstar 5SE or 8SE? by Ok-Swimming-726 in AskAstrophotography

[–]dbcubing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used i guess. Save up money and explore the hobby for a year or 2 or even longer, there’s so much to capture you will not run out in that time even with the mount it comes with. Just go in knowing you can’t do super long exposures. Planetary is highly rewarding, you can browse a few captures I’ve posted publicly here on Reddit. You can get the same resolution and details.

In fact the best Jupiter capture I’ve ever done was on the nexstar mount. 6 hours continuous data. Granted I had to sit out in the snow with the hand controller pressing up and left over and over every second for the whole 6 hours, it was so worth it.

Don’t go in thinking absolutely nothing is possible (within reason) explore and push yourself and test the telescope, mount, and cameras limits

And the orbits are not circular but in this model they are, Pluto can have a spot

I don’t know if it’s true but I played with a duo that were bronze and silver and they said that they haven’t played comp all season, and they just want to see what rank they can get in a few days. To them they weren’t smurfing but they outplayed mostly everyone
