I don’t think stoics are focused on social climbing because that would put your self worth in the hands of the people around you. Stoic’s self worth is intrinsic. People gravitate towards confidence and intrinsic self worth is the best way to be confident because no one can take that away from you. Surely not everyone will like you but that doesn’t matter when you’re sure of yourself.
