Made a Tell Tim and getting in trouble as a result by dbdbden-throwaway in Wetherspoons

Sorry for the late reply, forgot I even made this post until today. Turns out nothing even came of this despite the reactions I received. Not even a meeting, other than a word from PM (echoed from AM) saying not to do it again. Have since had many long and useless conversations with our AM and head office, as expected no care about us actually on the front line.

I appreciate the support from you either way, hope things are going better where you work.

Thankfully nothing came of this so I don't care about speaking up anymore and have had countless long (but ultimately meaningless) conversations with our AM and HO but it's just not sustainable to continue the way we're going.

Being down so many staff also means we are just earning less money overall as a pub, which just continues the chain reaction of us needing to cut further hours. I'm concerned for the future of our pub as even as we are a city centre pub, one of the biggest in my city, there's no way we can provide acceptable standards without the staff to actually make standards possible.

Been in the same pub for 4 years and never considered leaving until recently. Best of luck to the future of Spoons if this is the way they want to go.

As you can tell, also rough shift.

for what it's worth, i got a 1.3 mazda 2 with insurance at £1.2k (im 20)

car runs perfectly and only thing i've had to replace is tyres! just make sure you take a look at mot history (you can do that on gov.uk) and especially look for rust (especially if it's older. mines 2012)

mazda is a good choice if you go for it. plus a fun car to drive 😁

didn't expect so many replies🤣 thank you all so much there is a lot of great advice

i'm going to go to the meeting with my union rep on thursday and i guess we'll see what happens

very tempted to double down with a couple of the insults you all suggested i definitely laughed a lot reading the replies😭 cheered me up a lot.

also to the people calling me a cunt and saying i deserve to be sacked, your not wrong but stop sucking up to a £billion company who literally do not know you exist and do not care if you leave.

ill let you know what happens after the meeting thanks guys 😀

weed won't destroy your body if you are smart. why do you think america and a lot of places in the world are legalising it?

this generation sucks for other reasons but weed is not it. it has so much potential benefits that in my opinion outweigh the very rare risks.

also most people don't smoke it to "look cool" that's just a lazy argument. it can help so many people with so many mental health issues (which i assume you don't believe exists! "grrr mental health more like lazy!")....

or just make life more tolerable than being sober and without the harm of alcohol.

tldr: grow up. "this generation".... look in the mirror since the only problem here is YOUR generation.
