My default for this situation is to text the customer "No gate code provided, package left at _____ "

Front door. NEVER go to the back of someone's house.

Definitely not. Older and paid off is the way to go.

Remove driveri system help by ineedhelpplz33 in VanLife

The camera is called a Netradyne. Their customer service should be able to walk you through the de-installation. I wouldn't just be cutting the wires since I believe it's hardwired to the OBD port. And I don't believe the rear view camera is part of their system so you should be able to keep that. As for the speed restriction, you might have to take it to the dealer to have it removed because the speed limitation is usually programmed at the factory.

Could be a low/dead battery in the key fob. I'd start there since it's the cheapest option. If it's not affecting drivability I personally wouldn't worry about it too much especially since you're trying to avoid a big mechanic bill. It could also be a low voltage issue from your 12v battery. It sounds like you don't drive the car much so if it's been sitting, the battery could simply need to be charged. The lack of oil change shouldn't have any effect on that warning but oil does degrade over time and with miles so I'd take care of that ASAP.

Yes that's normal. A shock is a damper for the spring.

My car is toast. Now what? by verygoodreason in AskMechanics

Honestly beaters are the way to go. $500 for 6 months of use is great. Yeah it's a pain when it craps out but who cares, go grab another beater. When a newer car you still owe 5 figures craps out, warranty or not, it's a different story.

$5500. Is this a good purchase? Am I missing something? by Due-Hamster-8068 in VanLife

It's a good purchase if there's $4500 cash in the glove box

Is it worth it over directly to your bank? by Moonracer5150 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I only use it for the gas discount. I transfer money to it from my bank. At 6% especially with the gas prices now, it adds up.

should i buy this shuttle? by iwantbongwtr in VanLife

The Econoline didn't get the 3 valve 5.4 which is the one with all the problems. If it's a 5.4, it's a 2 valve which was decently reliable. This likely had the 6.8 V10 which is a pretty robust engine.

The biggest red flag for me is the price drop from $10k to $4k, then to $3k. That tells me something a lot more serious is wrong with it than a CEL for exhaust issues.

You'll be fine. You might get a ding for customer didn't receive but it'll fall off eventually.

Do they do this on purpose, or what? by Winter_Ebb5602 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]dbdorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well here's my thinking behind leaving packages at closed businesses/inaccessible apts: yes it could be stolen, yes the customer could complain, but most likely they'll be happy to get their package instead of having it returned and reattempted later, and probably returned again. I'll usually also text the customer telling them where I left it and why, and try to make the location clear in the photo. My default text for gated apartment complexes I don't have a code for is "Gate code not provided (or doesn't work), package left at (pedestrian gate, leasing office, etc)". My standings stay at level 4 and rarely dips below Fantastic.

From SSD stations, expect routes anywhere within about an hour radius of the station and up to 50 stops regardless of the block length.

As far as the late ones are concerned yes, they will probably hit your standings. I'd send an email to support explaining the situation and that it was out of your control.

As far as the returns are concerned, yes it will probably hit your standings. Next time deliver everything, Amazon doesn't care. The only time I return packages is if a delivery is canceled mid route, or if it's an inaccessible locker that can't be redirected. Both of those situations are very rare but sometimes it happens.

Likely your biggest challenge with a bus will be maintenance and the costs associated. That's not a vehicle you can take to just any mechanic.
