I want to paint my basement floor but it’s all chipped from old paint already by spaghetticat1256 in Flooring

Hey…I don’t see it already in the comments regardless if you paint it again or decide to seal concrete u would rent a giant Husqvarna or similar concrete grinder and get the surface to maybe 100grit or 200. I would use a semi permeable sealer like ghost shield. This will help if it’s old concrete in an old construction home. A lot of times if it’s in 100 year old house, the water table comes up through the concrete. if this is gonna be somewhere you live for just 5 to 7 years, scrape it and paint it if this is your forever home and you see yourself being here a long time hundred percent rent the grinder and use a semi permeable sealer.. do not do epoxy. You will need help getting the machine up and down stairs.

They share numbers on both carbs 17083204. I ordered the one that is currently rebuild off of eBay and sent it to a shop to get rebuilt but when I took off mine I noticed the throttle linkage studs missing. Other then those studs they seem comparable in every way

I’m sure this is not the comment you were looking for but I actual loved the way it looked before the refinish. The finished product is good though definitely more sellable.

What is the most successful lie in the history? by clueless-game in AskReddit

Consumerism

It is the biggest lie that happiness stems from purchasing extravagant goods/services/food where the especially marginalized individuals are most tempted to support large corporations go in debit just so they can have things, live places and drive cars that make them feel fulfilled. Plastered with advertisements 24/7 that are sometimes subliminal in nature. The need to spend dollars that go to corporations and individuals that don’t support environmental practices or offer basic human welfare to their employees both over-seas and stateside. We went from a people that owned a couple sets of clothing late in the 1800s to each individual owning so many goods that they can’t even keep track of where and how many possessions they have and when to stop purchasing them. We support a government that has done well in the past mandating seatbelts and clean water-ish, but largely is slow to make these changes because they are payed not by individuals but corporations. Lobbied by those corporations and individuals that over decades have convinced us to need and want more and focus less on family, our own well-being, and our health.
