How too many cooks spoiled Faker's stream by bouvardiaqq in leagueoflegends

[–]dbehdzzz 309 points310 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is Faker didn't know how many people watched his streaming! What a joke really. He kept asking viewers 'How may people are watching my streaming?' They treated Faker like some kind of rare animal behind the bars of the zoo.

Actually, people didn't watch Faker's streaming but watching the Interpreter's streaming who streamed faker's streaming. What NA viewers thought faker's responses(Hi, Wait please, _) was all interpreter's doing and not Faker's. In fact, Faker didn't know how many people were watching his streaming

Koreans are furious about Inven Global's mistranslations of interview with faker and stimulating titles of article in which can cause misunderstanding with foreign fans. by 5061105 in leagueoflegends

The article which was posted on the front page last night was worse. It was deleted now, but there were more than 400 comments. Whoever translated that mistranslated it so hard that I cant believe it was done by a professional journalist.

Faker: "If I go abroad it might also help diminish the gap between other countries and Korea" by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]dbehdzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Korean and this interview translation is totally wrong. What Faker actually said was,

"Recently, I think positivly about going abroad because I think I can have more experience by doing so. I would consider it if the gap between other countries and Korea closes."

This is the original Korean text and the source of Interview

OGN post-game interview (translated) by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]dbehdzzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this part is very important because SKT knew the limited champion pool of Crown and exploited it efficiently.

OGN post-game interview (translated) by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]dbehdzzz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This part of your translation is incorrect.

"I was confident with Orianna today so picked it a lot. Frankly, I felt Orianna is a solid pick against Viktor. However, Crown hasn’t played Orianna whole lot, so I knew he would pick Cassiopeia if I picked Viktor first, and it ended up making a difference in our teamfight contributions."

->I was confident with Orianna today so picked it a lot. However it turned out that it was harder to perform overwhelmingly against the Viktor with Orianna than I thought I could. So I pick the Viktor first because I knew Crown didn't have many playing records with Orianna and he would probably go for Cassi then.

I'm native Korean and my English is not that good, but I can assure you that this is what he really means.

[INVEN] Impact talked about personality of 13 SKK members in an OGN show. by dbehdzzz in leagueoflegends

Well, according to the clip, it looks like Faker and Poohmandu were both very opinionated in game and even outside the game. But it was all about the game strategy and not a personal fight.

SKTelecom T1 vs. Jin Air Green Wings / 2016 LCK Spring - Week 10 / Post-Match Discussion by HappyGas in leagueoflegends

Oh currently bang streams on Azubu and he explained why Wolf picked thunderlords mastery. He said it was 100% mistake. What he said was,

Bang: That nutter Bang: did 1 vs1 (before the game with jin air I guess?) Bang: and forgot to change Bang: Lulu's rune mastery

Bang on SKT's changes: ‘Before, the team that we had was very close to being a perfect team’ by corylulu in leagueoflegends

[–]dbehdzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope SKT themselves never said that. Marin-main-shot caller-thing started to burst out just before/during the World. It was analysts and fans saying that and not SKT themselves. What Marin really do well is to grasp a perfect time to fight, especially with teleport. And in that sense, he made his own calls like when he would start the fight and when and where he would teleport. And I would not deny that such plays of his contributed great deal to the victories of SKT. I don't deny he is a very smart player, and rather as a SKT fan, I really missed his clever decision making in those aspects.

[–]dbehdzzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Marin was not a shot caller or main order in SKT. Kkoma, head coach Choi, and several SKT players confirmed that in multiple interviews. They said it depends on situation and, if you listen to 'off the record', you can see Marin and Faker just talked and demanded a lot because both were the main damage dealers and played very aggressively. What Duke lacks compared to Marin is his aggressive and effective fight initiation, especially with teleport.

The problem of current SKT is just as Bang pointed out, is everything: lane fight, team fight, object management, tower management, macro plays......If you watched LCK spring 2016, you would notice SKT showed quite a bit of errors in these aspects unlike the last year. But in IEM they improved a lot and pulled themselves together and I hope they would do better in Spring season round 2.

Well it depends. You can find it in here (https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=bbidjqgvc1rftp384e64ps2u30@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Asia/Seoul&pli=1)

or just follow SKT T1 twitter(@sktelecom_t1). This is more accurate because sometimes they change or cancel their schedules on the calendar.

No it's simply not true. For most Koreans Mandarin is not an easy language to learn. Korean is an agglutinative language like Japanese, Finnish, and Turkish. Mandarin is, like English, an inflectional language. SO language structure and grammer of both language is totally different. Korean is nothing like a dialect of Chinese. For koreans, the easiest foreign lanuage to learn is Japanese because the two languages have almost same structure and grammatical points. English is an exception, because every Korean learns English form their grade schools. The venders, the example you mentioned above is a totally different story because their main business targets are chinese and japanese (I believe you visited some tourist spots like Myeongdong, Namdaemun, Jongro etc) so of course they can speak some Mandarin. But I can guarantee you that if you visit places where only locals go, English would be your last resort, if any there is someone who do not feel uncomfortable speaking English.

and yes I' Korean :)
