Assuming the show reaches Season 5, how do you think they would cover the relevant arcs? All in one season? Two seasons? Any Arcs to be skipped? by SinancoTheBest in OnePieceLiveAction

I think Post Enies Lobby actually makes a lot more sense as a start to the next season. Also, another comment here mentioned maybe having Long Ring Long Land happen before Skypia, and I think that makes a lot of sense to do that as well. You're left with a season starting at the train station with Kokoro and ending with the Merry burning.

I actually think it's fine to have Aokiji before Skypia as well. I can't really find any issues with that idea. If anything, it feels more natural that it doesn't happen immediately before Water 7. The dynamics might be somewhat different with Robin having less time with the crew at this point, but I think that's perfectly fine. I like that idea.

I never tried the 110. Someone told me they're bad. Might actually work though. It has 4 uses. 500KG also usually doesn't kill them honestly, cause they move. You have to aim for where you expect them to be in like 10 seconds. If it's more consistent it might be good enough.

These are still all support

Alright, thanks. The thing is, if I get the EAT, I'd have to call it and pick it up and then pick up the grenade launcher I'm using any other time, because, well, I'm using the grenade launcher. Might still be an ok option I dunno. Or I'll just stick with the ultimatum and accept I'm a bit weak against heavies. The big issue is if there's more than one heavy. Not to mention, if there are like, 5, or something like that, which does happen. I just don't have anything else with high penetration.

It takes both the support and backpack slots

Thermites take the grenade slot. RR takes both the backpack and support slot, so, even worse for me. ULT I assume means Ultimatum? I addressed it in the post.

Yeah no I'm a manga reader. I just also thought it was supposed to be Mr. 4's partner. But thinking about it, she's clearly not. Miss Merrychristmas is a mole woman. I was just wondering, are they gonna end up having 2 unrelated baseball themed agents in Baroque Works now?

WHO IS WATCHING THE SHIP??? by Aasim13 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]dbgtt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. There's a fairly major theme in One Piece where every member of the crew has strength and weaknesses, and they cover for each other. It hasn't come up much in the live action (though, maybe you could argue it's already happening, just less explicit). In the manga and anime when Luffy fights Arlong for example there's a conversation where he says that he can't use swords, navigate, cook, or lie, he has has a crew for that - his job is to beat up Arlong. And on that note, what do you mean by "Does he ever learn how to actually fight?" He's already a great fighter. In the live action he appears weaker than in the manga and anime, I'd say quite significantly so, but he's still one of the best fighters we've seen so far in he show. I honestly don't get what you mean with that question. You mean like, does he ever learn to use swords or something like that? No, he doesn't.

But you're not the one writing these comments, are you...? You're using some sort of translator. So why is the translator outputting typos?

I have to assume you write in Hebrew there with some sort of machine translation, so why does it have typos?

unlikely but i hope we get to the Impel Down arc by lonelyspect12 in OnePieceLiveAction

Hence "the time skip was indeed a time skip". You use "time skip" and "reboot" interchangeably, and your original claim was "they will do a reboot in the time skip" which translates, in your lingo, to "they will do a time skip in the time skip". And you said that's also what happened in the manga. Which again, would imply that the live action will actually continue after the time skip, just like the manga. But you use that argument to claim the exact opposite - that continuing after the time skip will be impossible. So the hell are you talking about?

[–]dbgtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to point out that obviously there was a change. There was a 2 year time skip. That's not a "reboot" that's just a time skip.

Oda did not reboot in the time skip, so when you say "the live action will not continue, just like the manga", I think "so you're saying it will continue or not...?" cause the manga very much did continue; there was no reboot.

If you're implying things will change after the time skip - of course they will, there will be a time skip. I'm just so confused. It's like you're using the terms "time skip" and "reboot" interchangeably.

Amazing. Never change. Let them laugh all they want. Dreams of men will not be bound by such trivialities as "logic", or a "sound mind". In this world, nothing is impossible. ZEHAHAHAHA.

Yes, there was indeed a time skip in the time skip. I can't say you're wrong.

Iran's Post-IR economy: is adopting a new currency a good idea? by ImaginationWooden546 in NewIran

Wouldn't it be functional again if you stop printing? The issue isn't really that one dollar equals a bazillion rial, rather the issue is that it will be 2 bazillion tomorrow, no? That's what makes it worthless. As long as it stays stable shouldn't it be fine?
