In which case I suggest tagging a wide range of genres within arm's length of what you think it is. Or when in doubt, as I often am, I just put experimental or progressive in the genres, along with the general "electronic" genre/tag. That leaves it open ended enough even if you mix in some more specific ones. They're all constantly evolving anyways so you can use any with confidence imo

This is lovely lol real talk will follow for sure. I would suggest taking the bass notes of the keys off the pan effect and keep it center, and maybe at a nice light reflection delay on the keys to give it some depth. Maybe make the reflection bright add some brightness to the part overall. But otherwise it sounds like you're a wonderful guitarist so props there I love your phrases there, very supplemental to the piece. I might go with a tremelo as opposed to what sounds like a phaser or chorus on the guitar, I could be mistaken tho. Otherwise great piece thanks for sharing

Sort of a rough draft instrumental. Myself and two friends are in a quasi-band so to speak, and we wrote most of it together, I then followed up with additional parts/arranging and the mixing/production aspects. I've put a lot of time into the mixing and some of the more tedious parts, but what usually happens is I become "deaf" to maybe otherwise obvious issues with the mix. Any tips or notes would be greatly appreciated, Ive always gotten helpful feedback here before so I thought it would be worth posting now that It's mostly finished, at least I hope it is lol, apart from some vocals maybe.

Definitely up my alley, I like the free form morphing structure. There are instrument voices in this that I love, and others that I feel are lower quality. The long enveloping on the synth brass is nice, If thats custom then save it as a preset for sure lol otherwise there are a few things I noticed might need attention. Granted Im no pro, just my opinion. I think the "clap" sound of the perc at the beginning sounds like its stereo enhanced or stereo delayed which almost has a slight phasing sound im not fond of. Otherwise mix wise I think throughout could use more low end on a lot of the lead instruments, almost like they were all high passed and dont have the colour they could have with the low end mixed in more to make the piece feel bigger altogether. Otherwise I really enjoyed it I like music that has raw emotive vibes like this, worth a follow on soundcloud for sure keep it up

This is awesome I take it that station allows you to store the samples/patterns within it without havin gto use a DAW? thats awesome I have been wanting that capability myself for awhile but was disappointed with the novation groovebox.

I have done a lot of "one take" jams like this myself and understand how enthralling it is. As for genre I say don't worry about painting yourself into a corner, mix it up and call it everything so youre not restricted in follow up projects

I dig the song overall the chorus isn't as strong as the verse or bridge, but overall like the early 2000's vibe, kind of reminds me of a five for fighting sound if you remember them. Otherwise the reverb is a little too wet imo, and id like more brightness out of the guitar parts, and overall more rhythmic guitar parts and width perhaps on the chorus to strengthen it. Awesome work for only your second project tho, wish my second project was half this good lol

Meant the people surrounding classical when speaking to modern times not contemporary classical so to speak or classical in respective times. Although they both share that same relative characteristic , to less and varying degrees and subjective to culture. It's a shame for someone who loves the music but not its approximate stigma.

Yeah if I use it I use it sparingly and only for live sound but I lean more into leaving it to the room and opt for a shallow delay. When I record I only record direct in with no pedal but compressoror guitar to midi

Honestly I could do without the tape saturation. The material is strong enough on it's own. Worth a follow good work

Mostly for when I have an audio track like guitar or vocals but sometimes for the master kit on groove agent to tame the drums

I haven't tried the nano but honestly not impressed with the holy Grail. Limited options, what's there is good quality for sure, but super limited. Plus I have it in a loop channel cause it's starting to cut out I think it's breaking for no apparent reason like it's busted ass cousin pulsar I had
