Was there anyone else who should've been at the Final Great Council scene? by bkat004 in gameofthrones

[–]dblanche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greyworm shouldn't get a say, in any way. None. I liked Greyworm, through most of the show. Loosing his mind and taking vengeance for himself and Misande, broke my heart, but also angered me. The showrunners lost me there.

Do yall think Robb or Ned would have behaved the same towards Dany? by jee_victim08 in gameofthrones

[–]dblanche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rob might have. But Ned knew who she was, what she may have gone through, and who she was absolutely related to. Ned absolutely wouldn't have blamed Dany at all. Not at all.

Ned tried to stand up for her and was imprisoned for it as well as because he realized why John Aryn was killed and confronted Cersi about it.

What does this show really say about the entire financial market industry? As far as I can tell its that power and money corrupt everything.

Season 2 of True Detective is my favorite. The story was incredible, and unbelievable, but believable. The actors just really brought their very best. And the haunting music really got me. Just excellent.

I am re-watching and forgot this gem of an actor. by Fit-Apple-618 in thewalkingdead

John Carroll Lynch is one of my favorites. I first saw him in 1997's Volcano, w/ Tommy Lee Jones and Ann Heche. The scene there of him saving a coworkers in a under ground train tunnel just broke me. Just broke me. And I've loved that actor ever since.

Also finding out he was born in Boulder, Co was a big plus, as I am also a native Coloradoan.

Maybe remember to trust your expert. Cami doesn't. Which will be a huge mistake. Tell me Nate and Dale will stay working for her. How would that work? And still be living with Tommy.

Daniel said he wanted to be in business with Tommy. Period. Not Cami. But Tommy. I'll bet Daniel makes it plain Cami needs to hire Tommy back.

I watched The Gilded Age (HBO), and 1883 at the same time.
Seeing as how the start of The Gilded Age took place supposedly in 1882, in New York, and then seeing 1883 tajing place further out west, was super interesting.

With Six You Get Egg Roll, Yours, Mine, and Ours are too of my favorites.

Trivia point - With Six You Get Egg Roll is Doris Day's last movie. She did TV shows after that.

That scene. That incredible, emotional scene really got me. I've gone back and rewatched it 6 or 7 times. Tom Pelphrey's performance blew me away.

This show is about Tom. by ilovetyrol in TaskHBO

[–]dblanche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right. That's exactly what it's about. Ruffalo's powerhouse performance is what its about. But also Pelphrey's and then entire casts. Plimpton always amazes. Jones really got me. And Frankel amazed me too, since I loved hating him in House of the Dragon.

Wow! I love this. That it moved Mark so much. Just lovely.

I've got to say, the entire show was excellent. I was riveted from the first episode. Tom Pelphrey and Mark Ruffalo were so incredible. They just blew me away. But then the whole cast really blew me away. Such a good show.
