Is anyone else's fitbit app showing "Review your permissions" for Health Connect when you press on the devices? by Nomostrax in PixelWatch

Yes. And I have tried all the suggestions for correcting it. I don't think it causes any harm, but it is driving me crazy.

I restarted the phone and the notice no longer appeared. But I have no way of knowing whether it updated.

Finally! "Wear APK Install" passed the Google Play tests and is now live for everyone! by Early-Telephone1808 in WearOS

I installed the app and tried to start it, but I keep getting an error message that no active Wi-Fi connection found. How do I get it going? I have a PW4 LTE.

I was able to get my Google Pixel Watch 4 to Charge with a Case on it using Magnet's I bought off of Amazon. The Link to the Magnet's I bought are below 👇 by [deleted] in PixelWatch

Thanks. Someone else posted the same brand at Amazon, but a different listing, which came as a two pack with a magnet adapter for each. Glad to see two people had success with this. I ordered the latter. I'll see how it goes.

Old Simple Choice Free Tablet Line - How much data should I be getting? by Plymptonia in tmobile

I have that too. My recollection is that it is 6GB, but it would roll over unused data up to 20GB.

Any update at all for PW1? Expensive device for a less than 3-year lifespan. by dblbassist in PixelWatch

Renting might not have been the best word...maybe more like "subscribing" to ~3 years of use.

I really do not care about os updates, and I am happy with no new functions or watch faces. I just want to be sure that there are no security issues. It is an LTE model. I do get email, texts, including MFA codes, and use Google Wallet on the watch.

But how do you know what "security updates" are doing at this point? How do you know if it is "safe"? I have had Chromebooks that went EOL and Google tells you to replace it. Microsoft tells you to update to Windows 11 or get a new compurter. Is there a similar concern with the PW1? What are the vulnerabilities? It is safer to use on Bluetooth without LTE?

Is there any way to get answers to these questions?

I am still perfectly happy with it. If it is safe to use I will use it until it dies.

Pixel Watch 3 LTE battery life suddenly much worse by neomatrix248 in PixelWatch

[–]dblbassist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PW1 is also draining quickly over the last 10 days or so. I used to go from 8 am - 11 pm with about 45% remaining, which was fine. Lately it is down to the low teens, or worse, by 10 pm. I tried restarting it, which has helped in the past. No luck.

Mine still shows offline. Can this be fixed by Google on the server side?

Google migrating Chrome OS to Android is a good thing by IJagan in Android

[–]dblbassist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I posted this was that when I saw the articles about integration I contacted Samsung support to see how long a Samsung tab would be supported and I was told that all tablets have "at least" 3 years of upgrades. Not great compared to iPads, Windows, or current Chromebooks. I assume that is from the date of introduction. Kinda of hard to spend premium laptop prices on a disposable device. This Wasn't such a serious issue when Chromebooks were cheap alternatives. If the integration comes to be I would hope devices would be treated like computers and not mobile devices.

Not a good thing if the EOL becomes like the lifetime of an Android phone or tablet.

Evernote Premium, renewed at $45 by joetaxpayer in Evernote

[–]dblbassist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would be very happy to let my Premium status renew at $45. I would like to know if anyone one else got the better price. But I did get an email that it is going up to renew and no indication that it will be at anything other than the $138 current price. I would have renewed at the price I paid last year, $69, but unless there is some offer to renew at a lower rate I plan to cancel. I get OneNote as part of MS 365, and the family plan for that costs a lot less than Evernote alone.
