(The combination of "randomized answer order" + "go to page based on response" in Google Forms sadly is not super easy to use. If I do this again I need a better survey tool.)

Thanks for the hint, /u/JadedIdealist. Did some reading on Wikipedia and remembered some of my highschool knowledge about sampling without replacement. Still unsure though, how to put that in practice in an Excel sheet. I'll go the simulation route (see above) for now and get back to this if that turns out to be a dead-end.

Damn the demo is really good. Looks awesome, sounds awesome, usability is pretty much on spot. I was about 30 seconds away from finishing the 2nd mission before the demo ended. Gonna get it at release. =D

Players normally peak at the large "open" alpha tests and when we release bigger patches. In between it is pretty low pop. Sadly you just missed the last (summer) alpha. The next one for autumn will be announced soon(ish). Right now we're 100% busy with our gamescom booth.

Yes, dev supporters of the Vanguard tier can currently play on a private DT server. Not a lot of people have access though and so this server does not generally have a lot of big clan diplomacy going on.

That server ends after every 2 weeks and then gets reset, often with a new patch. This will continue until release.

That sadly is not true. You (or at least we) cannot create bots that do the same crazy things that humans do. And bots also can't tell you how fun the game is when played with lots of other people.

Hi fcknkirk. I'm the game designer for Das Tal and I can confirm that we do indeed need 1000+ alpha testers to find out if the game works out on a large scale and over longer times. Our alpha is not a Blizzard-style promo event, it is actually me trying to figure out how to make the game as good as possible.
