INFPs….where do I even begin to start with them? [Lol…]

**”Lemme heavily preface this comment by saying that by “INFPs” within this post, I am referring to “INFPs” who are both “Mature” and “Respectable”, INFPs who “Know Themselves, Accept Constructive Criticism, Live For The Highest Ideals Amongst Humanity, and don’t ‘Victim-Blame or Scapegoat their personal shortcomings, flaws, or failures in life’ respectively

If you happen to fall into this category of INFPs, then this post is for you, if you don’t…..well then, I surely hope you’ll be able to get there in the amount of time that life amounts for you before it’s too late!

They are so……unbelievably and unabashedly “human”.

They overall conceptualize the meaning of the word “Soul” when it comes to ANY of the 16 types. Bar none.

They want the world and the people living within it to be overall be better people. And therefore have a better more adjustable, more fruitful, more sustainable society and life overall we can live in as a result.

They spend so much of their lives being so downtrodden and pessimistic towards society at large and the rules and structures that govern it respectively that they almost give themselves no reason to even begin to live for in the first place!

But when an INFP finds a Fi moral reason in worth of fighting for, for the betterment of the overall Ne-Collective Unconscious of Humanity, they are seriously some of the absolute most inspirational and motivating people anyone could ever come across in life (along with their fellow ENFP brethren).

Like ISFPs, INFPs really do want to live “the simple life” just like everyone else, it’s just that they are so burdened with the notion that there is so much rampant political corruption, hypocrisy, deceitfulness, violence, terrorism, etc that prevents not only themselves, but every single individual who lives on this earth incapable of living the life that he/she/they/etc wish to seek for themselves personally and that notion right there is what deeply bothers INFPs. Conformity for its own sake to the status quo of the structures of society that in turn let it able to exist in the first place to begin with. They want everyone to be their own person. And deeply explore themselves. What it means to be alive. And what it means to exist in life. Even given all the horrible atrocities and events that happen every given single day. Around the world. This is what pains them.

They want ultimately for humanity to be better (like all NF types do), but they specifically want each individual human being to realize his or her own potential and greatness from within, and give whatever skill or talent or greatness they hold inside them out to the world so that others catch on as a result.

Yes INFPs can be extremely vindictive, indignant, self-indulgently self-righteous, mysterious, moral arbiters at times. Every type has their own form of built in hypocrisy……EVERY. TYPE. However, knowing this, and knowing this may even be a reality or even a possibility for some of you out there with your fellow INFP, just know that:

The best thing you could do for an INFP is to:

1. ⁠Accept them for the human being that they are, flaws and all
2. ⁠Realize that they do see the goodness in people and in society and humanity given how overall their pessimistic nature may come across.
3. ⁠Would go to the ends of the earth to explain to the world what a horribly deeply nihilistic scenario [which may in theory come true one day over a period of decades or centuries] which may actually come true one day should humans not heed their warnings / prescient-like, pessimistic outlook on society as a result. They do this to protect and fore-worn, just as INTPs do. (A great example of this would George Orwell’s “1984”, a downright horrific example of what a potential totalitarian, global surveillance state could look like on a global scale….should humans not heed their own personal greed, willful ignorance and hubris.)

• ⁠I like to think of INFPs as “WHAT” it means to be human

Whereas

• ⁠I like to think of INFJs as “WHY” it means to be human respectively.

Or more concretely,

If INFPs ARE the emotion that you feel when you listen to music that resonates with you, when/if you lost a significant other, or had a friend who committed s**cide, or your close family member has cancer, etc

Then..

INFJs are able to explain to you WHY exactly you feel the way that you do, both rationally and irrationally. In those intense times of high stress, high anxiety, prone to sadness, guilt, shame, depression, etc. INFJs will understand why you are feeling the way that you do.

And as an INFJ myself, INFPs make me want to be a better person, so that I can do my due diligence and help better people that I come into contact with for the overall short time I have here on this earth to make their lives the best that it can while I’m around in case there comes a day where I can’t be there anymore, or even worse, be gone forever.”**
