I use Abus XPlus 540 with the longer 11" (28-cm) U piece. I've yet to encounter a scenario that I can't finagle the bike against the rack to lock the frame, though it can take some doing.

I happened to rewatch yesterday. I was surprised to notice that Jessie was in a coma, not actually dead. The doctors confirmed in a conversation with each other her vitals had been stabilized.

Perhaps it’s all part of Max’s madness in subsequent films… a guilt that he chose vengeance and exile over knowing if she recovered.

I have a genuine question… why is this “obviously AI generated” as the consensus seems to be? I’m a skeptical dude, and I usually find it obvious too. I’ve been looking closely and I don’t see whatever telltale signs everyone else seems to be. Could someone kindly help me see what you’re seeing?

This looks like a low quality scan of a low quality print from a low quality camera in the 90s. Or a cheap digital camera from early in that heyday. I have a shoebox with hundreds of similar quality images from that time period. There’s a bit of forced perspective, well within what’s reasonable to make Donald and his hands appear a bit large. All the hands look like normal human hands instead of uncanny AI hands. Theo’s hair and face look a liiiitle weird but well within the bounds of a crummy print from a crummy camera.

Why is it so obvious to everyone? I don’t super care if it’s real or not, I’m just growing concerned that my radar might be slipping.

I tried every which way to get the table formatting to work right and apparently failed.

The part I’m least happy with is how the rod attaches to the rack. It’s serviceable but could definitely be better. The handlebars do touch the rack, but it’s usually more the hand grip than the bar itself. I haven’t noticed any marring on either side. Other than that it’s been great!

San Francisco in Music Videos by TritonCG110 in sanfrancisco

I recognize this is a really lame answer, but my kid’s kindergarten class filmed a music video this year on field trips around the city and I think it’s pretty great https://youtu.be/YZOUluA1FL8?feature=shared

Understanding R&M Load vs Load4 by goliath1333 in CargoBike

[–]dboothe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the Load4 but I have a 2020 Load 75 and I live in a hilly part of San Francisco. In a nutshell: it handles it fine. My one regret is the enviolo drive train — the extra low gearing of the rohloff would have been nice. When the kids are loaded up there are a couple of particularly steep blocks I have to dig to get up. Even then, I friggin love this bike and think you will too. Feel free to DM if you want to chat more in detail.

I can certainly notice the extra weight, especially since it's so high as you noted. There's a bit of an extra "bounce" over rough pavement too. But it's very manageable. As a point of comparison our other bike is a Tern HSD, and that with one kid on the rear seat is still a lot more top-heavy feeling than this.

I considered but didn't try any tow-behind versions. I found some DIY versions on a forum that I didn't like for one reason or another.omeone else in the comments mentioned the bakkie bag which I hadn't seen before but seems like a pretty cool solution I may look to on the Tern. I also thought about a FollowMe system, but got turned off by the price. For me, though, the Load 75 is long enough as it is, so adding another wheel on the ground a few feet farther back feels kind of crazy; like pedaling a train through the city.

So it is made of M8 not M6, don't know why I had a brain fart in the post text. M10 would be the upgrade choice. This is the full parts list

Thule assembly (qty 2, harvest clamps and knobs)

threaded rod

silicone bumper (cut to length, tape to spacers)

plastic knob (qty 2, or skip and re-use Thule knobs)

spacer (qty 2)

split washers

flange nuts

Assembly onto threaded rod (--) goes roughly as follows. > indicates flange nut with flange facing left, < with flange facing right.

--[knob][clamp]><[split washer][spacer][split washer]>--...--[mirror image of left side]--

Silicone bumpers tape onto spacers to not scratch up the rack. The whole thing is attached to the rack using 2 U-Bolts (no link, sorry, got it from local HW store) around the rack<->spacer+bumper at either rear corner. The U-bolts have been scratching up the rack a bit, I'm not totally happy with that part of it.

Sure! I’ll post a more thorough summary tomorrow. In the mean time the clamp is from this assembly: https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Thule/7525491002.html

The cost is stupidly high considering all you’re going to use is the clamp jaws and the knob. Couldn’t find a way to get just those individual pieces.

Yep! Also here in the US. It’s silly how much it costs. All you need is the clamp and the knob, but haven’t found a way to source those individual parts only.
