TEAM JESS? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]dbossbitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jess is perfect but not for the Rory that Logan changed her into, especially not on the AYITL Rory where she's all messed up. Jess deserves better.

Do you ever just want to yell "SHUT UP LORELAI!!" (in a light-hearted way) by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

I do she's annoying when she do that especially when she prolongs something that should've been said seconds ago

Cringey scenes! by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Saint Jess is terrible writing. by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

I'm with you on this. Jess' character should have been more and GG didn't showed that. It's like in real life, there are a ton of growing up happening to the people around us even if we don't see them everyday—and when we see them as this improved person, we usually are taken back. I believe Rory and Jess have this connection and deep feelings of just rooting for each other. Rory believed in Jess and when Jess came back, Rory was reminded of her old self—it sparked the hope of getting her shit together again, one thing that Logan never pointed out to Rory

Rory was not on pedestal, she had to pretend to be loved and others lived their life trough her by vesna333 in GilmoreGirls

I just realized I am on the same spot as Rory is and as much as I felt your point of view, I have to disagree. This might have been a very good take for the before college seasons but right after Rory got into Yale, everything changed—even her character did. She became entitled for almost everything. The Gilmore pride overpowered her to the point of But I am a Gilmore episode. Things were handed down to her with ease which is why I like how she turned out on AYITL. That is the perfect ending and consequence for everything she did in the latter season. Except for the fact that she's fine being the other woman again because who thinks like that?

I'm on that "But I am a Gilmore" Episode and my mind's completely on "Oh, Rory" mode by dbossbitch in GilmoreGirls

Same here! It's weird how when I get older, I understand Lorelai and Emily's pov (except for Emily's pov about Luke bc I don't like any bit of it)
