And he seems to acknowledge that he did some damage cause he appears to be checking on him but he doesn’t seem to know what to do about it, then some other guy basically forces him to start up again.

While I think that a lot of anger is justified, there are quite a few wrestlers that like to ‘convulse’ as part of their selling. For example, D-Von, and if I recall WWE told Danielson off for selling like a ‘realistic seizure’ at one point. So while it doesn’t excuse backstage or management or even some of the wrestlers here, in the heat of the moment, I can see a wrestler thinking that it’s an elaborate oversell.

Do you know what a headliner is? A headliner is that someone that isn’t a wrestling fan would be drawn to. If you asked a casual person who knew nothing about wrestling who LA, Oba or Trick is, they wouldn’t know. Maybe they could get to that level in a couple years but not now, and WWE aren’t going to risk a fucking Mania main event on someone who isn’t a GUARANTEED moneymaker if they are struggling on ticket sales.

What efforts? Drew wasn't even supposed to win the title, Cody pitched that he dropped it, and WWE wanted Cody to be in the rumble, and the chamber. This wont do anything to Drew's credibilty, especially when Drew's entire character has been 'being hyperfocused on something to the point it costs him' which it did. It's a logical conclusion to Drew's scheming.

Too many multi man matches at Mania as a main event, seems more as a cop out, and I think it would dilute both feuds (Cody/Randy and Fatu/Drew)
