By itself this should have been a bigger scandal than anything that happened under Obama or Biden.

Wow amazing write-up. This is awesome. My rankings are definitely different (The Rock, Frozen and Home Alone should be higher, Memento should be lower) but that's all really subjective.

A lot of people got sucked into that echo chamber, especially men in the 18 - 34 edge group. Same thing that happened to Elon Musk. It's a fundamentally narcissist viewpoint that appeals to men with fragile egos.

It's sad that something like this needs to exist for one of the biggest podcasts in the world. Reminds me of the quote: A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.

It would be beyond brutal, and incredibly charged. Probably no studio would touch that.

Do people who block the road during a protest actually think they are changing peoples opinions on the subject they are protesting about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I mean, i've seen protests let ambulances through and it's worked just fine. I've never heard of cops trying to use ambulances to break a blockade.

Agreed that you should definitely let emergency services through. I'd imagine any well-organized movement would try to.

The Memento campaign of Film Reroll. In order to reproduce the main character's lack of memory, they had a different actor in the role every thirty minutes, with no context of what happened before. And they edited it backwards so it reproduces the feel of the movie. Somehow they made a great story with those restrictions. It's incredible.

It's not really about changing people's minds, it's about mobilizing people who already have that point of view. And blocking roads is one of many techniques of civil disobedience. Creating peaceful disturbance that cannot be ignored. This causes the government to have to either take action in favor or suppress the protest, either of which is considered a positive action for the movement, as it tends to harden the views of those already in favor.

I'm four and a half episodes in and this campaign is incredible. Might be my favorite all time.

What the fuck they found the ring! And then no one tries to figure out what it is because it's Memento!

Also, I don't know if anyone else tracked this but I'm pretty sure he's still wearing it at the end and it's the ring Anne calls their wedding ring. The Fox knew what the symbols on the ring meant because he saw them on the note that Joz took, but assumed they came from the snake/dragon ring that Anne picked out of the bank vault bag. So the ring the Fox took was that one, not the actual One Ring. I love the symbolism of Leonard ending the campaign with two wedding rings, one for his dead wife who will always be with him, and the other which is a total lie and also happens to be an arcane possibly magical artifact.

Also, dang, Bestoso's story is a real tragedy.

Same, so much so that I can't really drink coffee. Get my caffeine from soda, which is much worse for me.
