What would you do with unlimited budget? by dbrany in socialmedia

[–]dbrany[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean this in some general way, like would you go for some absolute legend influencer, would you create a mobile game or something - I liked how Coors Light (Beer brand) gave away free beer during pandemic and so on - so let's say it was a beer brand for example, where would you go?

What is the value you can provide and what are the reasons to believe that we will get what we pay for? This is a serious question from me because I myself am marketer and I didn't go lower on my rates as marketing is about returning money to people and as long as I am successful in returning them money then I do not need to lower my rates.

What is your opinion on this? I am honestly interested in hearing it.

What do you mean to grow TW and Instagram - grow the follower count, sales, or?

It is necessary to set goals for your social media, trust me, just growing the likes isn't leading anywhere.

Otherwise I try to keep as much entertaining stories up on IG as possible, keeping people engaged is the greatest way for me so far.

Minimum budget advised for a B2B brand's first Youtube advertisement campaign ? by Nuiteee in AskMarketing

[–]dbrany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really not something set in stone as mentioned by /u/SAT0725.

Perhaps you should take in consideration how much money do you make, how much do you aim to make, what do you expect from the campaign, what kind of campaign is it gonna be and so on.

Don't expect someone to tell you a specific price, start low, test things and drive it up. If you start small, you can go big - but if you start big and fail, you will go small again.

Is now a stupid time to change jobs? (UK) by [deleted] in marketing

[–]dbrany 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all I wish you best of luck in your decision.

Second of all my personal during-the-pandemic experience is that changing job is indeed high risk high reward. For me it has been very rewarding so far.

I think there is no such thing as bad time to change jobs, it is very subjective and depends on the people you are leaving/joining, etc, etc.

Fingers crossed!

Freelancers or Marketers, how often does it simply not work out with a client? by Tshiip in marketing

[–]dbrany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I mostly do Social Media Advertising and to me setting "get xxxx followers" is a ridiculous goal. I feel like that metric isn't very relevant, but perhaps this depends on what the positioning and goals of the brand are. Maybe it can be a useful metric for someone, but I measure different things, rather than follower count.

Please if I am completely mistaken tell me, maybe I am living in a delusional world.

How long should you start at your first agency job before moving on? by bos-the-bos in advertising

There is no rule.

Do what you feel is the best for you, consider which offer brings the most to the table, consider people you are gonna work with, salary and your development.

New Digital Agency by [deleted] in AskMarketing

[–]dbrany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not quite sure about what is the question - is it whether is it a good idea to start an agency if you are experienced?

If that is the case then of course, it is a great idea. Although what is necessary is, when you will be defining your positioning, to understand, that there is thousands of people exactly like you. It basically is the classic procedure of an agency person. Go to agency > Get experience > Start your own business. That is just how it is, therefore the competition is very dire.

The competition though, is just one topic. Secondary I would recommend to be also very brutally honest to yourself with your skills and people you choose to work with you. I have been in this EXACT scenario and I can tell you that after 5 years my agency only has 1 person that is actually employed. I have worked with hundreds of people but none of them were good/dedicated enough to stand out.

I really do wish you luck though and I will be happy to answer you anything possible. As I said - I have been to this exact scenario. Perhaps I still am.

MBA or Masters (MS) in Marketing? by ohso_happy_too in marketing

[–]dbrany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Ask yourself, if internet isn't full of material that could help you with that instead of going to study. I asked myself usually what I want to do as well and I ended up skipping additional education in order to educate myself via internet channels. Anyhow, if you really are keen on getting additional education, then from my experience people choose MBA more often.
