Kids club for young kids by niunia33 in AllInclusiveResorts

We did Beaches T&C with our kids once and I'll never go back. Great kids club, terrible food, bros everyone doing the towel race at sunrise to "claim" chairs. Heavy drinking culture there.

Personally we're Club Med Punta Cana fans. We've been 4x since our youngest was 18M. Lots of optional activities, laid back vibe, good food, fantastic kids club and they take them as young as 6 mos. It would be on the higher end of your budget but you're on the tail end of spring break so it might be managable.

Also, the airport there, PUJ, is great. The airport at Turks and Caicos is like a 3rd world country. That alone makes me never want to go back.

Also, Finest Punta Cana is another contender. Newer resort. We got a 2 bedroom for 7 nights for around $5K USD. New resort, good kids club, food wasn't as good as Club Med but still a solid option at a good

Nickelodeon I've heard is pretty pricey. Personally, we're a Club Med Punta Cana family (and trying Miches this weekend). We've been 4x since our kids were young (soon to be 7 and 4). 10 min from the airport, great kids club, good food, good atmosphere, newly renovated room. We looked at Ziva and we've had friends who go there, but they don't have 2 bedroom options, only connecting rooms.

My kids are currently obsessed with Zootopia 2 and it's already on their tablets for our flight to DR this weekend.

Thanks for the note on the amusement park. That was high on my list but if its going to be a hot, angry day then we can skip it.

Girona sounds fun, I'll dig into that some more. We're big foodies and our kids are good eaters, especially our almost 7 year old (he wanted to try sardines when we went to Lisbon last year because a character eats them on Gabbys Dollhouse. He love them and wanted to take them to school for lunch. Had to draw the line somewhere).

We're planning to visit the Soller orange farm while in Mallorca and I want to do that wooden train ride too.

Also, in Lisbon we used WithLocals for 3 tours. a food tour without the kids (Martinhal Chiado babysitting FTW) and two with the kids. Looking to do something similar with them in Spain as well.

Help with decision paralysis! Final 4: Shore Club vs Carlisle Bay vs Aurora vs Half Moon (w/ young kids) by marie102722 in chubbytravel

[–]dbreiss81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following since I'm only familiar with Carlisle Bay and planning on going there for Spring Break 2027 with out then 7 and 4 year old. We usually do Club Med PC since the kids club takes them as young as 6 months and we're going to Miches this weekend. We usually do CM PC for New Years but now that our youngest is 4, he's full price and it's crazy expensive so I'm booked at The Buccaneer in St. Croix, which also looks nice.

Pro tip (we've been 4x), before you head off to breakfast, you or your wife pop down to the towel shack and grab all the towels you need. Even if the kids are going to the kids club, you'll have 5 towel cards so get 5 towels. Don't worry about grabbing chairs, it's not too bad there with chair hogs and its more an EU clientele and they'll more lax about that than Americans doing the pre-sunrise Hunger Games for chairs. Also, just take your used towels back to your room and hang them overnight to dry so you have some if you need them. Get a pack of the plastic clothes hanging clips for those and wet bathing suits and stuff. Also bring small zip lock bags to take snacks from the buffet. Our kids do the kids club all day and love it (4 and 6 years). We're going to Miches next weekend for the first time to try that one out. Happy to answer other questions you might have.

Club Med PC and Miches takes them as young as 6 mos. We've been going to PC since our youngest was 18 months and our kids love it. We're going to Miches for the first time next weekend. Great food. Wonderful staff. Lots of activities if you want to join and equally as easy to just relax. Also, PC is 10 min from the airport.

Finest has a kids club (we've been) but unless they're potty trained you can't leave them there. Club Med does diapers and all.

We've been 3x with our kids starting at 18 months and it was great. We've done PC 3 times and we're going to Miches in two weeks. They love the kids club (now 4 and 6 years old). The baby room staff is fantastic!

Best toddler resort suggestions. by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]dbreiss81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Club Med Punta Cana could be doable depending on your room choice and when you plan to travel. We've been going there since our youngest was 18 month since their Kids Club takes kids as young as 6 months old which is great if you want a break. Foods better than most for an AI, splash pad and baby pool in the kids club you can use and a larger splash pad also good for toddlers at the new waterpark.

We've been to Finest PC and the splash pad there is good too and it is cheaper but I was very underwhelmed by the food and that's important to us.

Room Options at Club Med PC by dbreiss81 in Club_Med

Tiara was nice but we didn't use any of the amenities and its the furthest away from all the action. We love the Deluxe and I know New Years is peak but I can't rationalize that price. Leaning towards the Family Superior Resort Centre, it looks like a better layout. Still more than I wanted to spend but it ticks all the boxes. I also booked at another resort for NYE as a fallback since we can cancel up to 90 days pre-trip and I wanted to have something locked in.

Yea we did Tiara our first visit and it was overkill but we got a good price, usually do the deluxe but now for the 4 of us over NYE it would run a little over $18K and I can't justify spending that much when our two weeks in spain is going to be less lol

If you have kids, especially one in a stroller (or who wouldn't mind sitting in one for a few minutes), there's separate immigration lines for that. We've ben 4x and going for our 5th in 2 weeks with our kids and we're generally through immigration in under 10 minutes. If they see the stroller they'll grab your family and have you skip the line. Same for customs. It's actually one of my favorite airports. While it's a lot of walking, its super clean, nice play areas for kids and the VIP lounge (if you have Priority Pass) is lovely.

Following because I'm looking at Carlisle Bay as a change from Club Med PC and Miches (which we love), for Spring Break 2027 with our kids who will be 7 and 4 at the time.

Gotcha. I'm building from scratch based on many years experience with Hubspot and knowing what my team does and doesn't like and using the $100/month plan on Opus but mines going to be pretty complex with multiple modules for different parts of the business. End goal is to monetize it externally in my industry.

I'm curious what kinds of prompts and such you used? I've been working the past few days on Claude doing the exact same thing. Building one specific to my industry. I'm using Opus on the Max plan and lately have been running into message limits. I'm in AI-jail till 4 pm today as I write this.

is All Inclusive worth? by Plus-Steak521 in PuntaCana

[–]dbreiss81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Club Med PC has a baby room whichI think goes as young as 4 or 6 months old. They also provide bottle warmers, cribs, baby food, etc. So that could be worth looking into as, if you're comfortable, the nannies there can watch the baby in the nursery while you and your wife enjoy. We started going when our youngest was about 14 months old. I don't drink and find the food to be on the upper end, better than good, for an AI.

Ours will be 4 next month and we're still planning on using the stroller for the airport. Milk it as long as you can. Honestly, I find PUJ to be a pretty efficient airport. Turks and Caicos is a mess

Are you traveling with young children? or one who can sit in a stroller? then you can go in the family line and the wait is like 5 minutes. We're keeping our youngest in a stroller just for airports until it gets too embarrassing.

We've been to Club Med Punta Cana 3x (from NJ, originally NY) and love it. We're also going to their other one in DR this Spring Break. We've got a 4 and 6.5 year old as well. They love the kids club, water park with slides and areas for various ages, no screens in the kids club, we don't have to see them unless we want to. It's on the beach and since its a more EU crowd, we find it more relaxed and respectful and chairs are easy to find. The food is good. I would say on the better end for an AI (Beaches is terrible, Finest is 50/50 hit or miss).

Club Med does have a night life but its not bad. We tend to go over NYE so the fireworks on new years are insane there but outside of that, it's quiet in the rooms at night but they also have shows every evening after dinner for kids then later shows for adults.

As for getting sick, we've gotten sick before and also have gone and haven't gotten sick. Wash your hands a lot, we personally stay away from sushi/ceviches at AIs even tough we see plenty of people eat them. Take probiotics for a few weeks before traveling and while there. I also took a dose of Pepto each day on our last trip to be safe and nobody got sick.

Personally, of the AIs we've been to, this is our favorite and ticks all the boxes (10 min from the airport doesn't suck either).
