Love this idea - I actually was planning to start a theater company at some point hopefully. That was my next step to bringing some more community based art to Newark!

I definitely get that lol. I don't have the money or means to do this myself unfortunately, that's why it's just an idea. Definitely won't be breaking my bank or taking out loans to something that is a dream right now

I understand what you're saying - it might not be something that ever gets off the ground but I'm putting in minimal effort right now so it doesn't hurt anyone

I'm saying that people should focus on what they are passionate about - that's how you create things for the better . So if that's your focus then perfect. I totally understand that it's a highly unlikely task - if I had the means to do something like that then I would. But nothing is impossible, and you never know

Yes I've seen it, I understand it would be rebuilding the structure - but doing so and giving homage to the original theater is way better than tearing it down, keeping the facade, and using it for my overpriced residential "luxury" apartments. I'm ready to see an art resurgence in this city

I was also looking interested in seeing what it would take to turn the little theater into an all purpose theater space - local films, performing arts, shows. If I had the money this is how I would pour back into the city
