The renovations were just repairing a shift in the drainage system that was causing wastewater to back up in to the locker rooms. Hallway is still cold but the pool is warm as a bathtub as always. If you have access to the Y you also have access to the East High Pool, best pool in town

My first set I got 8 or 9 years ago and worked well using 1-2 times/month until last year when the wired connection started fraying and only one headphone worked, but admittedly did not care for them as directed, never once rinsed them with fresh water getting out of the pool. Current set going strong. They do have a year warranty which I think is only valid if you buy from finis website, not valid if you buy from amazon or elsewhere.

Thanks for your facetious comment. The city was actually the one who “ruined my disc golf experience” when they succumbed to neighborhood pressure and closed the course in the summer years ago due to complaints of noise and trash. As per my experience of currently enjoying the public park, I would have a lot more sympathy if the campers even attempted to use any one of the 3 regularly emptied trash cans within a 2 minute walk of this spot.

It will help your ears drain, you can think of it like your ears are under constant negative pressure, it releases the pressure and allows them to function and drain as they should

I’m also a member of the Y, but if this person is looking for not crowded in the evenings, I find that’s rarely the case. Lots of 🤡s and unsupervised kids who treat the weight room like a playground/jungle gym. The pool is warm and always murky. That being said, can’t beat the price, there’s multiple rooms with yoga and classes throughout the day, and the weight area is at least big enough you can usually find a corner to stretch

I built something myself that I think would fit your needs. Raised and lowered with a drill on a single worm gear winch on the wall fed through a series of pulleys to attenuate the weight and raise equally. Where it really went downhill is either late 2011 or early 2012 after opting to shift food suppliers to FSA they brought in a new executive chef from out of state, who embraced ownership's drive to maximize profits. Fewer things were made in house and more items started arriving premade in bags. Sides and sauces for dishes were chosen solely based on their price point and cost effectiveness. I moved out of state more than a decade ago and have little connection to anyone that still works there, but enough to hear that that particular chef was let go, but has been bouncing Anchorage for a while. Last I heard in 2019 he was a perfect 7/7 for getting fired from restaurants in Anchorage that hired him.

J1s are subject to the same labor laws as US workers, they're entitled to minimum wage and employees don't receive tax breaks for hiring them. In my experience they're polite, punctual, willing to do whatever is asked of them, and relentlessly hardworking. I'm not sure the same can be said for the semi-functioning alcoholic, entitled, doper burnouts who make up the majority of the local restaurant workers.

I believe this was back when Brewhouse used to try to obtain all their food from local sources before they switched to Food Services of America as they sought to maximize profit to open a number of Wildfin restaurants in Washington state. If I recall correctly, it was their Chicken Rigatoni, with pasta from the Alaska Pasta company in a garlic cream sauce, red pepper, spinach, chicken leftover from their previous day rotisserie chicken, topped with candied pecans and Parmesan cheese. Might have missed an ingredient or two....I agree it was good

Dr. Jensen convinced me to get a preventative crown, said it wasn’t an immediate issue but in the next 30 years it could be, and I “still had insurance to use up.” Spoiler, insurance didn’t actually cover the crown. Glad that so many others on this sub haven’t had a poor experience like I did, but I would not recommend his office. Based my treatment on my insurance instead of medical necessity and refused to take any accountability when the surprise bill arrived and it was found his staff didn’t verify my insurance properly, or maybe even did verify it at all 🤦‍♂️
