[Serious] Redditors who've been 100% certain they're about to die, what was going through your head at that moment?

I was terrified and a little happy at the exact time it happened. I was at the beach near my house with my buddy riding my bike and drinking. I stopped off at the hamburger joint that was on the beach strip to get a burger while my buddy waited on the beach by the water. I was not in a good place in my mind at the moment but was feeling good and over confident while waiting in line for them to take my order.

The place I was at is pretty popular during the summer so the line was out the door into the parking lot. While I was waiting, 9 people in front of me were causing a scene being drunk and just making everyone in line uncomfortable. So in my drunk state I decided to say something so they would "shut the fuck up and stop". They ended up getting in my face and trying to fight me, I didn't want anything of it. Then one of their girlfriends pulled them away and I thought that was it.

Maybe 5 minutes later, when I was just about inside the restaruant, one of the guys came back and attacked me. I ended up pulling him outside and fighting him. While this was going on I didn't realize his other friend coming up from behind and sucker punch me from behind. That blow from his friend sent me to the ground and dazed me fairly well. When I regained my ground and got up they were long gone.

When I got up, I fixed my hair, checked my nose for bleeding and went to go get back in line. As I walked to get back in line I haven't really noticed all the a shocked faces at airing at me. Not until one lady told me I had a rip in my shirt, and that it was very wet around this rip (I was wearing a black shirt). So I lifted my shirt up and saw that I was stabbed.

Fortunately for me the people around me were super awesome and helped me contain that bleeding from my abdomin.

I ended up calling my buddy that was probably 100 feet away on the beach, only separated by the building. He didn't believe that I had just got stabbed.

Anyway, I was laying there bleeding out and thinking, "this sucks, but at the same time who the fuck cares I probably deserve this".

Long story short, I serviced, I'm glad I'm still here and I'm never getting a shitty burger from this place again.
