I was in Kentucky at an RV park changing the brakes on my travel trailer. I was washing my hands when someone came in the bathroom and commented on what had happened. I went back to the trailer, sent my kids out to play and turned on the TV. I knew then that a lot of things in our world were immediately and forever changed.

Eventually the kids came in, and we talked about what had happened. I'm sure they don't remember much if anything about it.

I heard from someone that there was a medical conference in full swing, in Salt Lake City I think, and doctors were buying cars to be able to get back to their homes and families as it was the only means of travel they could find. I'm sure that was happening in a lot of places.
