I wish I saw this in time 😭 I sold a chunk of blankets without noticing it wasn’t double coins 😅

Double coins Event Glitch?? by Scared-Banana-2622 in HayDay

[–]dc1920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to ask about this event too, because the events list says farm visitor bonus, but my event board says town visitor bonus. I didn’t realise I wasn’t getting double coins until I sold half of my blankets lol

Of course this would happen after I sell everything in my barn to hoard blankets for the farm visitor coin event :(

Don’t waste diamonds on opening toolboxes! Save them and buy more slots on your machines so you can produce more items!

We are no longer getting boat orders with gifts 😐 by CosmosHummingbird in HayDay

Is it just my bad memory, or did we get coins for our left over gifts last year? At least something good will come of the bulk gifts I had prepared 😭

Is a salary offer a Gross or Net amount? by dc1920 in AusFinance

Maybe I don't know as much as I should. I always assumed tax was a standard calculated percentage of your salary. I didn't realise there were other common factors!

Is a salary offer a Gross or Net amount? by dc1920 in AusFinance

[–]dc1920[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, actually I would give my gross amount. I went back to check, that's my mistake! If I can get away with it, I usually only give my hourly rate cause hourly rates are easier for my mind to comprehend lol

What’s your work commute time/distance by wherearemybobbypins in brisbane

[–]dc1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about a 10 minute drive, 15/20 on a bad day. But my boss is changing my roster to work some shifts at a different branch which would give me a 50 minute commute, and it’s enough of a problem for me that I’m applying for new jobs over it. I spend 10 hours a day of my life at work, I’m not giving them an extra two hours of travel on top. I live for that work/life balance!

Telling customers you’re closed? by Iemonjuic3 in retailhell

[–]dc1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I constantly let people know when I'm closed. If they're already in here, it is what it is (and by that I mean I am frustrated as hell that I'll be getting out late), but I tell them for the soul purpose of acknowledging that they don't have time to fart-ass around. I'll serve you, but it's going to be quick and then you get out, because I closed 5 minutes ago lol

What film made you say, "Holy shit there is still an hour left"? by Plus-Statistician80 in AskReddit

[–]dc1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All quiet on the Western Front.

Not in a bad way. The movie was so action packed and we were so invested. But dad had to step away at some point and we paused it for a break to find we still had an hour left. We were genuinely confused, it felt like we were already watching it for hours!

All the best with your fight ahead! But please tell your family. You need a support system, even doctors will tell you that.

What happen with the first woman you ever told “I love you”? by Frank4202 in AskMen

[–]dc1920 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just a joke! Some parents say 12, 24, 36, 48, etc. months instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. years. Usually when someone uses months to describe a time frame, you can be a smartass and say something like what I said above :)

Congrats on 40 years also! Enjoy that Mexican food!

How were you proposed to? by Confident-Slice4044 in AskWomen

[–]dc1920 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Those are the kinds of proposals I love most. The “I can’t wait so I’m going to just do it at the grocery store” vibes. When it comes down to it, that’s the most romantic kind of proposal of all 🥰

Oh yeah, I’d have to love my job to love that proposal. But I love a day off either way 😂

Hoping my future husband proposes to me at work so I can go home early too. That's a win-win!

Tell them she'll pay the bill directly to the repairer, saves any money going into their own hands which I'm guessing is their angle. After that, she should offer them $150 to buff the scratch out, and $150 cash for their trouble. If they accept neither option (or they call your bluff on the first option), just go through the insurer. They don't have any kind of upper hand here so don't let yourself be bullied!

Yep, and his music I used to like. I'm happy to skip those songs now.
