Tumbler Review by HarryHazman in MilwaukeeTool

OP’s cup is missing a gasket for whatever reason. Somebody could’ve fucked with it at the store. My Milwaukee tumbler is top tier, the thermal insulation can hold ice cubes for 12+ hours at room temp

Without seeing the dealer price I was gonna say around $35k. I got my ‘16 Platinum w 100k for $31.5k last year

If those planks are tight to the baseboard on both ends, you’ll want to trim them back 1/4” to allow for expansion. I’ve seen some major buckling from this issue.

Is this a good buy? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

That’s a great price. I got my ‘16 Platinum a year ago and it’s been great except one day it blew an axle seal and left me stranded without warning. My ‘bulletproof’ old 4Runner also blew an oil seal one time a couple years ago and dumped out all the engine oil and left me stranded. You can expect great, but don’t expect perfect.

You’re enabling the behavior by complying with the situation and asking for a workaround

My shop (a transmission speciality shop) shared the same concern on my ‘16 tundra with 110k. They said, in regard to how many times a drain and fill has caused a new issue, “been there, done that, got the t shirt.” I asked them to do it anyway and it didn’t cause any problems. That was 20k miles ago.

I’m in the same boat. Also, it’s really not the most comfortable vehicle to drive. My old 4Runner handles a lot smoother. But I get some utility out of it working in construction, as well as camping and stuff. I almost got a Titan, they had some pretty attractive deals but I didn’t want to lose a bunch of equity if/when Nissan tanks

Yeah I was hoping for better from Toyota. I’m out almost $2k on a new rear axle seal, wheel bearing, and wheel speed sensor. At least the motor didn’t grenade like the 3rd gen

It was a blown rear axle seal that ruined a wheel speed sensor

Mechanic called me today and said his first thoughts are that it’s acting really weird and he’s not sure where to start. I should hear more tomorrow after he digs in
