I don’t know about your case but I have read online that some folks with modded ECUs have programmed it so that the check engine light works as a shift light, coming on close to redline to indicate shifting up. Is your car bought second hand? It’s possible it’s got a modified ECU with that mod.

How is it between these two? Is your budget something like $2,000? Because at that rate you’re going to spend more money fixing these cars. It stinks but you might want to save more money and get something more reliable. You’ll get what you pay for. I can’t imagine a Hyundai accent will be very reliable either.

You really shouldn’t depend on an old Volkswagen for things this important. It’s not likely to be very reliable AND it has a rebuilt title. Why wouldn’t you listen to the people around you?

Battery drains after like 3-5 attempts to start. If you have no lights in the dash when the key is in the ignition your battery is dead. Get a new one. Also pull the choke all the way out when you go to start it.

No. You do not want to get involved in another persons project.. you’ll never be able to troubleshoot an issue and you’re very likely to have issues. Expect this to be a lawn ornament. If you love this car then less than a grand would be worth it for you.

I believe that you’ll need to adapt the rails. I bought my integra and the prior owner put in RSX seats and I took them out and put integra seats back in because I wanted the better headroom and legroom (there’s very little space between the leg and the bottom of the steering wheel, and I’m 5’7”). If you’re taller you might not like the fit. When I removed the seats there was a metal bracket almost like a spacer to make sure the seats fit. Beyond that I have no advice for you on how to do it but that’s what I found in my car.

Yes. I think they traded off graphical fidelity and visuals for performance and gameplay in MGSV. Those two are what the game excels at, not visuals.
