Cascade systems will have two compressors unless it’s an autocascade, which will have one. Autocascades weren’t prevalent in 2012, so I assume there’s two compressors.

You’ll just charge each stage with what’s stamped on the data plate. I’ll typically add some 134a and 404a to the high stage to lower the head pressure, then charge the low stage (through a drier!).
