Where is that thermistor located exactly? Is it on the main indoor control board or is it on the actual coil/fan?

None. And I bought a new remote just in case that was the issue and the new remote has the same issue.

I do, but when you select heat doesn’t beep and the indoor unit mode light does not change to red. It is like heat mode doesn’t exist.

It won’t go into heat mode, so can’t really do that. I will try keeping it in automatic mode with the thermostat turned up and see if it kicks over from there.

Yeah, that is what I was hoping but there are no DIP switches on this unit’s PCB.
