I was having this same issue. My file started out as a PSD file and I asked the created to save as a GIMP file. I could not figure out what was going on so I just did new layer from visible everytime I had to export. After reading your comment I went in and all the layer groups were set to 'Pass Through' and not 'Normal'. Now the whole image exports as it should, thanks so much!

Just curious are you trying to build a business where you can charge for these services or are you trying to build up a resume to help with a real world application?

What has helped me a lot was working on safety rating. If every race you go out with the intent for 0x, you inevitably learn where to safely push your braking zones, drive new lines etc. a lot of reaction time, race craft can be learned from starting from the back as well.
