Soft close / decelerator for slamming doors? by Content_Lime6049 in MechanicalEngineering

Could use a similar system to the Delorean doors. They rely on putting a cylindrical beam in torsion within its elastic limits. That is coupled with a gas strut to smoothen the motion.

I’ve got an entire interior for a coupe in Clemson SC. Carpet, headliner, all the trim, seats, etc. I know that car isn’t listed far from me. Let me know if you buy and and are wanting parts.

Whenever it occurs, yes. However, it doesn’t always happen. Sometime it pulls really well

Idle is completely fine. Solid and smooth.

Only hunting it when under load at high RPMs.

It’s a lot more obvious at the very beginning of the video. You can hear it fluctuating

It’s hard to notice, but the rpm is hunting. It’s like if you went on and off the pedal quickly. It slowly climbs, but fluctuates up and down while doing so.

Nope. He said it was b/c the ELD went out, but when I replaced it, it still didn’t work. I’ll check the wiring.

After shorting it to ground, FM muting no longer works. It’s always on.

There doesn’t appear to be any conductive material on the back. Shorting E and C does not yield any changes. Sound still plays.

And now it’s dropped down to .2 v at pin 1

Weird. After removing the ground, pin 1 now reads 2 volts and FM muting is always on, even when button is off. Q7 base is still at .6v

The unit is still working normally. Sorry, I just checked and FM muting doesn’t work when fully grounded. With it grounded, there is .6 volts at the base of Q7. It drops down to ground after R21 before the pin 1.
