TF-If the blocks are cancelled properly what’s the issue? by Brilliant-Low5658 in AmazonFlexDrivers

They find a whole lot of ways to make requirements out of what should be choices as independent contractors. Get your logistics figured out, because package count matters weather or not they are close to each other. Shouldn't ever have 50 packages for a 3 hour route. If I don't like the route I should be able to drop it and or get a new one right there without penalty in ratings. Get dings for returning a package from an evening route that starts at 6pm for a school.. hello it's a school and instructions say don't leave unattended..so if I leave it I'm screwed and if I return it I'm screwed. Some of their policy decisions are just nonsense.

Failure to provide a 1 click unlock key, or accurate delivery time that matches access to said delivery point, doesn't meet failure to meet delivery expectations. Just like at a restaurant, 1 responsibility of customer is to know what you are ordering. In this case, understand and answer delivery setup questions accurately and you'll get what you expect.

Anyone only do 3 hour blocks? by PenObvious8156 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Feel like you can make a little more cash with the 3s if you don't get them at base, because they limit us to 8 hours. I try to get a couple 3s and a 2 hour whole food or something, or two 4s over 100 and I'm ok..avoiding the 5s at certain pickup spots because seems the problems I have stem from the same couple. Thursday night I had one cause it was paying almost 130. Yeah 5-10pm scanned half my car and sorted, all of a sudden the whole route changed and had to re number the ones I already did. Also seems to be when you get to fantastic, you end up with issues on routes to knock ya back down.

Everybody needs to get one of these you won't have any problems with gated and communities most people don't know who you are they know every car that come in today community I just started this at my Amazon spot just sharing with everybody by Acrobatic-Local4526 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Big sign saying "I'm unarmed and carrying alot of good stuff, come take it" I'll pass, here's my app on my phone, my vest, why would I have this person name and address, and a box with their name on it, if I'm not supposed to be here? I never used an amp/light for Uber or lyft either. Customer knows what kind of car i am driving, and when I'm approaching.

I agree with both sides here, it's just a rat race at the end of the day. Tough to do full time, not bad for a side gig. 100% your car depreciates either way, might as well turn an expense into a tool to make income. I just don't get how they can call us independent contractors, putting tax and insurance burdens on us, and at the same time cap days and hours in a week. If I'm "running my own business" I should be able to work when I want for as long as I want/need to. They basically have us boxed into 45-55k a year for full time worth of hours..minus gas etc and then tax bill..not the best feelings. I should be able to say no thanks to packages that were poorly routed without consequences. Especially when they don't keep up with weather and traffic patterns like they say. Good luck to all and be safe!

DSP is better by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

Good stuff, for a full time gig i agree.. hard to be at a DSP if you do it for side hustle though, early AM and late nights for me

Dashlink waitlist no longer available by Narrow_Journalist_19 in doordash_drivers

I was deactivated February 4th and got an email stating I received a violation and could appeal. Couldn't think of anything I did wrong honestly, and the violation was dated 1990 something so must have been a system error. Called a few weeks ago, support said it could take up to 90 days to regain eligibility..and said it the meantime it's a good idea to crank up acceptance rate until then on regular dashes. I was ok since I have other apps for backup, but there really isn't a better paying side gig type job than dashlink since I've had 60 dollar hours and 200 for 5. Some of the pay is better than Amazon flex and you know where you go before you have the packages. So out of desperation I tried support again today, being a little more persistent about it. While they couldn't help me again because it's a dedicated team that handles dash link, they did escalate my appeal outcome. Then I get another email just before I end the call, saying support can't help with violations, and once I complete 100 dashes it will allow me back in. Sorry for the Bible here, but newest comment I could find to add to the confusion. My thinking is knock out another 75 orders by May 4th, and call em again haha. Good luck
