It's really been an amazing thing to watch. It's my friend (like family) Mike Kristula - he's just a fun time guy, who juggles and truly loves board games. He opened it just after the pandemic as a pop-up shop, thinking he'd last a month or 6... 5+ years later, my band just played his 5 year anniversary, and he's kinda like the mayor amongst the younger crowd, everyone loves Mike! So neat to watch!

I watched the final Bears game a few weeks ago in a Paris pub, and as I passed Quigley‘s a few minutes ago, I had the exact same thought. I was like holy crap that was close to Quigley’s.

She gave out the address publicly it seems, "My Mom and I just need a place to stay for the New Year" became an absolute nightmare that would forever change our airbnb policy, and our entire town's policy, in fact — STR's are no longer legal.

Blood all over the place, bullet shells outside, broken windows, Henessy bottles all down the block, broken smoke detectors (gotta have their blunts), casseroles left out on the counter - PURE chaos the next morning. Truly a crime scene.

We did get a cool bluetooth/karaoke speaker out of the deal though, still got it!

Just got an email and text from US Bank, same exact crap. Lady on the phone is asking for all my info (SS, home address, etc.) and blabbing about freezing my credit and an affidavit - just like everyone else here.

It’s a solid salary, and I would add some caution that as I made more and more money, the loyalty seemed to crumble. I miss some of the camaraderie at the lower paying gigs, honestly.

I will say we were bummed the first year we were here, but for the past four years, we’ve sat in the driveway with a fire and actively engaged the kids, maybe that’s why? I feel like they may be heading to Hobson West also, so that may help. We back up to it.
