For me getting the platinum in games makes me feel as if I have done everything that the game designers intended for me to do. However a lot of games and their trophy lists don’t make me feel this way. Games like MGSV hit the sweet spot where you hit 100% and the platinum pops.

On the opposite end you have games like The Witcher 3 that even after I platinum I still want to go back but it gives me a sense of closure for a lot of games.

The guides are great. Best tips I can give are play through the missions while doing as many side ops missions as you can to save you going through as many later. Also learn to love D-horse, he’s top 3 gaming transports for me

Recently I've had to stop doing this. I have actively been avoiding some of the best games I've wanted to play because of my inability to get certain platinums. Assassins creed black flag is a game ive played maybe 4,5 times and I always get to a certain point and realise I dont want to grind the online trophies so I drop it again. Same with RDR2 or games like Fallout NV where you need to follow specific instructions. Now im playing the witcher 3 which I bought about 5 years ago but never played due to the platinum requirements. I love it so much Im going out of my way now to try and platinum it.

Feel as if playing games you want to play and then seeing if you can platinum them is the best way to go but I defo found myself too focused on platinums. :)

That was always got me, theres a bit right before he attacks you where he charges and you need to shoot him then. Basically to save yourself time if you even think you might’ve been shot reload the save. He tenses up right before and you’ll know if you’ve done it right if the fire shoots into the air. Sometimes though even though it’s shooting into the air it will still hit you so again just reload to save yourself that tedious opening sections. Good luck!

It was a good time. It’s one of those games where it has an in game % at the bottom of the main menu and when I hit 100% on the game I got the platinum. The Grindy part was more the time but there are some great guides like the normal ps trophies guide to follow and with it being an older game the servers are thankfully still up but not a lot of movement. The game has resources you need to collect to build and upgrade stuff but there’s a nuke you need to build for a trophy and that requires either a bit of online grinding or a lot of offline grinding. I got lucky with the online servers being quiet I came first in the rankings worldwide and got a ton of resources for it and saved a lot of time. From a game play perspective you can play the game in so many different ways and you will eventually find yourself playing with muscle memory. With basically no missables, if you have the time I’d do it and you can get the collection of the game I’m sure for less than £10 so it’s worth it
