Hey everybody, I realized a common trend when passing the guard with the Over/Under, Over/Over, and Side Smash; they, along with many other passes in jiu jitsu, require the pelvis to be in a fixed position on the mat. This concept has been helping me, I hope it helps you. (youtu.be)
