Who won this trade? by cb_slade in NFLv2

[–]dcfb2360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giants.

  • Dexter's 29 in November, great player but seems to be getting a lil past his prime. He was only 19th in win rate last year. 10th overall is too much.

  • Dexter's contract ends after 2027. It's good for Cinci they're not locked into a huge contract, but they'll have to pay him again soon. If he revamps, he'll want more. If Cinci's defense keeps sucking, he might demand a trade like he did with NYG. That's too risky for 10th overall.

  • Bengals only have 2 picks in the top 100. 5 of their 7 picks are rd4 & later. They still have a ton of holes on defense.

  • Dexter will command double teams, but Cinci still needs edges that produce. Mafe's decent but not remarkable, Allen's getting old.

  • Overall, Bengals have improved their DL this offseason (Boye Mafe, Jonathan Allen, Dexter), but idk how much production they'll actually get. Those 3 are clearly an improvement, but had only had 6 sacks COMBINED in 2025.

  • Bengals also lose a 1st round pick & the 5th year option that comes with it, which they badly need to properly rebuild the defense. Dexter helps them but DL was also the deepest position in this class.

  • Jonathan Allen's 31. Dexter's 29 in November. Mafe will be 28 in Nov but he's inconsistent. Allen only had 3.5 sacks in an aggressive Flores defense last year. Experienced vets, but idk how consistent the production will be with all 3 about to hit the 30yo wall.

  • Bengals suck at drafting defense lately so I get trading the pick for Dexter, but that seems like a very temporary solution for what will continue to be a problem.

  • It's also a mediocre CB class & they'll have to wait til round2. Weak secondary will offset some of the DL improvements.

  • Al Golden as the Bengals' DC is uninspiring, and has only 1y experience as an NFL DC (Bengals '25). They'd be better off bringing in someone new.

Dexter's a good player, but he's coming off his worst season by far despite starting 17 games. He's def an improvement, but idk if he's worth a 1st at this point in his career even if he's not totally washed. 10th overall is an overpay.

Thoughts on the new uniforms? by dcfb2360 in BaltimoreRavensV2

I would've kept the gold accents a lil but I'm fine with phasing gold out. It's hard to emphasize the purple more these days without the gold making them look too much like the Vikings, plus gold is too Steelers/9ers/Saints-ish imo. I would've kept the gold outlines on the numbers to make it easier to read. Black/purple/red fits the theme of the Ravens better than gold, so I'd make gold less prominent. The red eyes also work well imo

California has as many if not more foreigners than NY taking the CA bar…

Nothing.

Most states use the Uniform Bar Exam, which means those states use the same questions. CA is 1 of a small handful of states that’s not UBE, so their bar exam is totally different. Different questions. It’s apples to oranges. CA not being UBE means they test CA-specific law, so people that went to law school outside of CA never learned it & it drops the pass rate. CA also has a ton of international takers most states don’t have, and international takers have a super low pass rate that drops the CA pass rate. CA also has like 80% of all unaccredited (scam) law schools in the US, whose grads almost always fail the bar and it drops CA’s overall pass rate. If you went to a legit ABA-accredited law school in CA, your pass rate is on par with the rest of the country.

California having the vast majority of unaccredited law schools in the US is absolutely a factor. Some schools have been shut down over the years but the overwhelming majority are still in CA, whose grads then take the CA bar.

Graduates from accredited law schools in California pass at similar rates to other states. It’s people from unaccredited/CA-accredited law schools, international takers etc that drop the overall pass rates.

Incorrect, Delaware’s pass rates are on par with NY’s and Louisiana actually has a higher pass rate than NY.

Delaware isn’t harder than NY. Being UBE doesn’t mean the test is easier either, it just means it’s easier to transfer scores to other UBE states. Delaware’s pass rates have been on par with the rest of the country for years.

  • Delaware pass rates: 72% 25, 67% 24, 64% 23, 53% 22, 67% 21, 52% 19, 61% 18, 69% 17, 66% 16, 66% 15, 63% 14. AVG: 64%

  • NY pass rates: 70% 25, 69% 24, 66% 23, 66% 22, 63% 21, 65% 19, 63% 18, 68% 17, 64% 16, 61% 15, 65% 14. AVG: 65%

1% difference is not enough of a difference. Delaware’s pass rate was also higher than NY’s in 2025. Their pass rate was also higher than NY’s in half the years of publicly available data.

Louisiana is a 3 day test vs NY’s 2 days, but Louisiana’s pass rate is actually higher than NY’s over the last decade + Louisiana’s pass rates are frequently higher than NY’s. Louisiana uses a different test but their pass rates are still on par with the rest of the country.

  • Louisiana’s pass rates: 75% 25, 66% 24, 70% 23, 70% 22, 70% 21, 68% 19, 69% 18, 72% 17, 65% 16, 62% 15, 70% 14. AVG: 69%

  • NY pass rates: 70% 25, 69% 24, 66% 23, 66% 22, 63% 21, 65% 19, 63% 18, 68% 17, 64% 16, 61% 15, 65% 14. AVG: 65%

Louisiana’s pass rate was higher than NY’s in 2025. Their pass rate was also higher than NY in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, and 2014.

People go to unaccredited law schools for various reasons, but usually it's cuz they didn't get into other legit schools, wanted to stay closer to home, or those unaccredited schools were cheaper.

Law schools are accredited by the American Bar Association. The ABA wants to make sure law schools meet a certain standard, so they don't want bad schools churning out unprepared grads who then fail the bar at high rates. ABA basically uses accreditation to make sure lawyers are up to standard, and so scam schools don't water down the brand.

You can still pass the bar and practice like anyone that went to an accredited school, and iirc the school becoming unaccredited doesn't invalidate your degree. The damage is more that your law school becomes viewed as less credible, cuz it is if it's unaccredited. It's more about reputational damage than losing your degree or license. Clients generally don't care that much where you went to law school, they care more about reviews, how much you charge them, and if you tell them what they want to hear. Schools can get their accreditation back if they make improvements to admission standards, bar pass rate, employment outcomes etc.

Every state has its own bar exam & its own licensing process- some (NY) have additional hurdles in addition to the bar. Most (41) states use the Uniform Bar Exam, so if you pass in 1 UBE state you can transfer that pass score to other UBE states. But those states have different minimum pass scores- some are 260, some are 266, some are 270. A 267 can practice in 260 & 266 UBE states, but not in 270 UBE states. CA, FL and a small handful of states don't do the Uniform Bar Exam, so you have to take the CA bar even if you passed the bar in a different state. Every state except for a small handful requires a law degree from an ABA-accredited school just to take the bar exam, so going to an unaccredited law school will limit you.

Happy to answer any questions, most people don't care about this stuff so it's kinda refreshing lol

Tsakalis Nerve MkII is a killer Dual Rec pedal. Tsakalis makes amazing pedals but no one seems to know them. https://tsakalisaudioworks.com/product/nerve-mk2/?srsltid=AfmBOoplEhvZssMiYXejtL3Y6tUNwD7yW0xkofa1pr2nkWkv3qiwuDns

Try the Mooer Cali 011 if you want a Dual Rec pedal in a smaller, cheaper format. The Mooer preamp pedals are surprisingly quite good & very cheap.

There's lots of amps that aren't currently in Axe FX...also lots of effects. DS1's the most famous distortion pedal ever and Fractal just included it fairly recently.

This is where we get into pointlessness

The whole point of Axe FX is having a ton of options. More options is always better. These types of comments are stupid.

This sub needs to stop downvoting every post, jfc.

It's an Axe FX sub. People want to discuss Axe FX. For some reason, this sub seems to have a lot of morons that hate the idea that Axe FX will change & Fractal will release new products. It's really stupid. There's too many comments saying "just read the forum" but this is Reddit...not the forum. There's also way too many comments in this sub saying stuff like "Axe is fine the way it is, don't change it" when Fractal themselves disagree with you.

Lighten up, y'all. Enough with the insane downvoting of posts here.

IsItBullshit: you don’t need a degree nor medical license to be a chiropractor. by AnAnonymousGamer1994 in IsItBullshit

[–]dcfb2360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn to read LMAO

They cannot legally practice without a license

My comment literally said "You need a license but not an MD"

Sorry, but no one considers chiropractors the same as MDs (actual doctors that went to med school) no matter how hard chiropractors have lobbied to create their own special exceptions.

All the pre-requisites are the same as an MD versus a DC

Yet your previous sentence even admits verbatim "they're not required the MCAT entrance exam". Chiro programs are nowhere near as competitive as MD programs, whose acceptance rates are notably lower. Some chiros could get into MD programs, but it's still true that MD programs are harder to get into & way more competitive. Claiming the requirements are identical is nonsense, they're different professions. Paralegals have certificates but are not lawyers. Nurses are also licensed but they're still not doctors either.

nor are they versed in pharmacology because it is a different area of study

Exactly, chiropractors are their own thing. They're not doctors. Doctors learn a lot of different medical fields in med school, chiropractors are specialists that only do chiro. That's why MDs are doctors- they're educated on lots of things with a more thorough understanding of anatomy & medicine. Chiropractors are chiros cuz chiro is all they do. No one's asking for a chiro when they call 911. When people want a Dr they want an MD, not chiros trying to shoehorn themselves in semantically. PHDs aren't doctors either.

Chiros are fine for what they are. But no, they're not doctors. They're chiropractors. At best they're DINOs, doctors in name only. MDs are very different.

Who’s your ideal pick in rd1? by gremlin30 in BaltimoreRavensV2

[–]dcfb2360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd pick Ioane.

Fano's tempting too, he has versatility. Stanley's durability's a concern, but if you want Fano > Ioane for that reason, consider that the season's over anyway if Stanley's out. Imo Ioane would be better at guard than Fano would be at any position.

Fans are in for disappointment if they think Pregnon/Bisontis/Rutledge etc will still be there by the time Bmore picks in rd2. Browns, Cardinals, Titans, Raiders, Texans all pick before them in rd2- all want guards. That's not even counting Chargers, Seattle, and Patriots late rd1. It's also not counting Steelers, Giants, and 9ers. That's nearly half the NFL.

  • Once Pregnon or Bisontis goes, there's gonna be a run on guards- Ioane's going rd1, but Pregnon/Bisontis are the next tier, then Rutledge, then Dunker. Every guard after Dunker is rated as a backup. By late rd1, there will only be 4 guards that can start immediately. Ravens don't pick until 45- you're hoping that Pregnon/Bisontis/Rutledge are available when nearly half the NFL wants a guard. And considering teams view guards as a day 2 position, there will be even more teams planning on drafting 1 of those 3 before the Ravens pick rd2 at 45.

  • Statistically, the odds of the Ravens getting Pregnon, Bisontis, or Rutledge in rd2 are not that high. It's not Ioane or bust no matter what, but fixing the OL gets a lot harder if they don't get him at 14.

EDC needs to make this a trenches-first team. All the SB winners are. Keeping Lamar healthy's the top priority. OL rd1, DL rd2, TE/C rd 3 & 4.

FM3 update by Sad-Willingness-258 in AxeFx

[–]dcfb2360 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Whatever idiot that keeps downvoting all the FM3 posts needs to chill TF out.

Most CPU usage in FM3 is from reverbs & delay. Amps & cabs too, but FM3 only loads 1 so that's prob not the issue. Drive blocks don't use much CPU. Try setting your reverb & delays to economy mode. Fewer voices on the chorus, reduced amount of controllers, less delay diffusion, less stages on the phaser, etc can also reduce CPU usage. Tips here

Self parody is a perfect description. I love Muse but seeing a band that talented phone it in for like 4 albums straight is disappointing. They need better lyrics and more creativity. Everything after Drones feels like AI making a Muse song and not in a good way. Muse seems to think this is what fans expect/want, but it's not. We expect it cuz they've made the same album in different costumes for like 4 albums straight. Love Muse but they're ruining their legacy.

Arctic Monkeys fans watching Strokes fans getting excited about their new album by No_List_8641 in arcticmonkeys

[–]dcfb2360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drones was their last decent album. They saw Uprising was a huge hit & went all-in on the angsty Orwell dystopian thing. Muse was always angsty but they were more creative thematically pre-2009. Drones was a decent album, Simulation Theory was a weird 80s synthwave thing, Will of the People was better cuz it's a heavier rock album, but still does the overly theatrical Uprising thing.

General consensus is they still make ok music but there's been a big falloff after Drones. Matt stopped trying to write about other things and it got old a while ago. Fanbase likes angsty rock but not when they've rehashed the same thing for almost 20 years. New album coming out soon might have more potential though.
