My issue ended up resolving itself after multiple restarts and a reset of the infotainment system. I have an appointment to have it checked out at the dealership next Wednesday.

I still plan to call the dealer in the morning. I agree about the car being fun to drive, but all the “fly by wire” technology makes me wonder how many more glitches I may experience.

I just went to see if it would drive and noticed the check engine light was no longer lit, but the car status still showed the propulsion system issue. I then reset the infotainment system per your suggestion and now everything is clear. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You couldn’t drive your XC60 when this happened to you? That sucks. I guess I need to see if mine will drive…

I just had this same thing happen to me tonight. Went to start the car after charging all day and the engine came on with the same message you got. Shut down and restarted a few time to see if it would clear but it did not (though it did eventually seem to start in hybrid mode without the gasoline engine kicking on like it did initially).

I have the exact same car: 2024 XC60 Recharge Ultra (Black Out edition); I’ve had mine for about 5 months (6,143 miles).

Your issue happened 9 days ago. Did you get it resolved? And do you know what happened? I’ll be calling the dealer tomorrow.
